Website told us they had stock, allowed us to reserve and the collection went very smoothly. The staff were helpful and friendly and parking nearby.

Very well laid out. If the book you are after isn't there the staff will happily order it for you.All the staff are very welcoming, friendly & approachable.Best of all, my 2yr son absolutely loves books as do I. We always go in when we are in town.

My partner went into Waterstones at 4pm today and was served by a blonde middle aged woman who gave quite rude customer service. She watched my partner and our two children as they walked around the shop and then when they came to the till and my partner asked for a gift card before she could say anything the woman on the till was rude and sarcastically said ?for £10 is it??, as though £10 wasn?t a lot. Then once it was put through she then went to ask ?do you have a Waterstones card? but before she finished she looked my partner up and down and said ?oh actually, I won?t ask you that?. My 4 year old son then said ?have a nice Christmas? to her and she just gave him a straight expression. It was completely rude and made my partner feel like she wasn?t good enough to shop there. We are actually big spenders with Waterstones however I think that will change now, we won?t be going back for a while!
