Branch showing as temporarily closed. I di not do online or telephone banking so cannot easily access my accounts. This is not the first time this branch has been closed.

Not really sure what the point of a digital branch is as that is just what you can do online. I used to work for HSBC and I know the staff here are awesome but this new branch system needs rethinking, surely the point of branches should be for things you can't do online?

What's the point of a bank if their are no tellers. Just a waste of space for a branch. Probably better for it to close.

Left this bank for lloyds now, the opening times area joke if you work you cannot user this bank, and they do not open Saturdays. If you do get in they have no tellers its all automated machines which are a nightmare to use.

Following a conversation with the call centre, I made a special trip to HSBC Fareham branch to make a change to my bank account. Both account holders were present and I had a clear letter of instruction. We were left for 10 minutes before a young lady by the name of Julia came to see us. She was brusque, unsmiling and did not greet us but told us we would have to wait with her for about an hour whilst she carried out our instruction and made a phone call. I explained this was not what we had been advised on the phone. She was unsympathetic and curt. Eventually she agreed to take my contact number and ring me if she needed any further information. She was exceptionally rude bordering on insolent. She called the next day to ask some irrelevant questions and said she was about to proceed with my request. 24 HOURS LATE. Another day on and I have no idea what has happened, what next steps are or how to access any of my HSBC accounts. Internet banking no longer recognises me and I have no idea if my cards work, or if my DDs are affected or not. This is shocking customer service to any customer, let alone one of over 30 years standing. Now I know why my main accounts, mortgage and business accounts are all with another bank! Naturally, there is no way I can contact the branch without having to make a special trip in. AGAIN. Choose a bank with UK call centres too as India has not got a clue how to handle this situation, so have been spectacularly unhelpful too.

As a general rule I don't really like banks, however when I have visited this branch they have been helpful and pleasant. The updated layout means you don't need to queue for long and staff are very accommodating.
