I came into our local B&Q store on the Southampton Road today and eventually found an employee who could help us. I said that I needed some help with gas barbecues and she spoke into her headset microphone and directed me to aisle 10. Despite waiting ten minutes, nobody turned up to help us. Consequently we left annoyed and went down the road to a local business who not only respectfully helped us but sold us exactly what we were looking for.

Not impressed with the radiators recently purchased. They are shown as having hidden wall brackets however when they were installed the brackets are clearly visible. This is false advertising. Very misleading and unprofessional. The photo shows one example of four purchased. Now check it against the photos that are shown on the website. For the price they are I would expect a far better product.

A well laid out store with plenty of products, staff were very helpful. The biggest downside to this store is the parking, being a Saturday afternoon it was very busy, few spaces and very narrow.

Visited this morning Saturday 23 May 2025 on my cycle only to discover that there is no bike rack to secure ones bike to. Did ask a B&Q assistance was told you don't have one. Very poor in this day of age.

Does not stock plungers over 100mm diameter. Choices are rods, explosive chemical contraction or useless tiny plunger. Amazon wins again.

Good range of tools, paints, building supplies. Can get the stuff cheaper at Screwfix, which they also own.

Great customer service today. Ellie helped me to get 50 paver blocks from the garden centre and patiently put them in a single layer in my car, so that I could get them home safely. Thank you, it was really appreciated.
