Unbelievably tiny rooms, no privacy and awful staff. Avoid at all costs. We went to the Premier inn instead and this budget option now feels like the Ritz.I have never had such a weird experience in a hotel. In order to make sure the room is as small as possible, the bathroom is on the outside wall. This means the bathroom door must be glass so whilst in bed I could watch my partner peeing. It also feels very odd to have a hotel room with no window. Having not been forewarned about this very unusual feature I went to ask if they had a room with a private bathroom. My partner had just had minor surgery and watching him change his catheter while I relax was not my idea of fun. The staff were rude and laughed at me for not knowing before I arrived that this is how their rooms are. It hasn't occurred to be to check bathrooms had doors. After recovering from my tears from public humiliation we requested a refund and left. The TV didn't have internet access so no Netflix to which the staff mocked me for not bringing my own firestick. I then discover the maintenance request service offered this as one of the things they fix so clearly they expect it to work too. So overall I cannot be clear enough about how awful our experience was. AVOIDRooms: Tiny, full of clutter. No windowGlass door on the bathroom.

Great place for a short or long stay. If book club room have Gym and Swimming pool included, otherwise, you can pay separately for the entry (both worth it)

Hotel chain with good services including a large gym, pub style grill and Starbucks on site. I especially recommend the Starbucks as I always get excellent service and they're very sweet in thereFood & drinks: Starbucks is great !

Great location, modern simplistic rooms. Word of caution if not staying with family / partner that the doors to bathroom in the room are see through.. not sure if this is just for double/single rooms as we booked one of each for 3 of us to stay - could be different if ordering twin room but just to bare in mind. Had some trouble checking in with a rude member of staff but management handled this extremely well and we cannot fault the staff after this initial problem. Angela who works in pub and grill side was fantastic and Alice manager was great. Cannot comment on gym or pool as it doesn't open until 8am on a Sunday for guests but seemed very popular! Situated right next to a very big asda + petrol stationFood & drinks: Food was lovely and good variety. Breakfast also very good for the price

I recently visited the village hotel, I was served by an amazing lady called Laura in the grill bar, she was super polite and so helpful with my allergies, she took them very seriously and took her time to help me work out what was safe for me to eat from the menu. The food was great and I?ll definitely be back soon!

I joined the gym a year ago, and I am now going twice a week to the Les Mills Strength Development class, which I really enjoy. Thank you to Bridgit and Vicky for the great workouts! The hotel meals are really good too! :)

Self check in not easy and problems with card machine. Lower floors very noisy and whilst upper floors better the walls are paper thin. No glasses in the room so you have a mug of water if you want a drink. Room has no windows. Food nice although please note it?s a sports bar so very noisy. Parking £10 a night and breakfast £10. Couldn?t get Wi-Fi working which was a pain. Very large Asda next door if you forget anything. V good location. V comfy bed.

My feelings and my review are mixed for my stay here. There were some things they got right and some things that were so close but not quite there. The gym - huge benefit and nice gym to be able to use. Loved having access to a reasonable pool, sauna, steam room, and work out facilities. One of the try highlights of the stay. The room - small but nicely appointed. It had clearly been though about and because it?s a reasonably new build it felt nice and clean and was comfortable. Probably a bit small if staying for a while. I also wonder how the rooms will age over time - the shower splashes out and is already starting to damage the wall and paint. So I fear it may age quickly. But it?s nice now.Bar and grill - I had heard it was nice but can?t say I found it a pleasant place to dine. Football was blaring in the background. The sign said wait to be seated but there was no one to seat you. I sat and waited to be served at the bar but no one served me till I stood up and walked around the corner of the bar to order. The food was okay but not sure it was a value for money £30 for a large glass of wine and what amounted to a Wagamama bowl of noodles.Service - mixed. At the bar it was poor. At check our very professional and helpful and efficient. After the experience in the bar the night before it was refreshing to have someone who was helpful and clear on what was going on.Overall verdict - I?d probably stay again for a business trip. I?d probably stay if I got a great deal but I?m not quite ready to join their revolution.

If you want a hotel with no personality this is the one for you. Its very corporate. Self check in. Badly designed rooms. Bathroom on the outside, resulting in the only way to get light in the room is to have a clear glass door. No privacy in the bathroom. Breakfast ok. Pillows ribbish. No wardrobe just hangers on a rail.

Receptionist efficient and welcoming. Great quiet room. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed and choice of pillows. Lovely toiletries. Had supper in bar and grill which was very good. Didn?t have breakfast.
