With the caveat that I'm not really a fan of large chains, dropping by here was a very pleasant experience.
The staff were doing their best to help customers. Hearing - don't worry it's not a problem, I'll get it sorted - being said to another customer gives a great feeling of care and professionalism.
My large black americano with an extra shot tastes good. Even more so given today's was a freeby for collecting points.

Bit faded and shabby. Often flies in the cake displays in summer. Staff do their absolute best. Quite generic but a wide range of drinks to choose from.

Recieved a Luke warm latte. Microwaved it when i got back home.
I don't know if this was a genuine mistake or if this was given to me out of spite because when paying for my coffee i asked for five pound coins instead of a five pound note.
Woman who made the coffee was overly polite when handing it to me but i fear this was just sarcasm.

Order frappe with coffee. The 1st make was wrong, staff make another one. The 2nd drink didn't taste the coffee (and I didn't see they put it), although I ask about it.
Not worth it.

The food is good, but typical of a Costa, over priced. The staff are friendly. The chairs are looking grubby and in need of a good clean.

Firstly, I'd like to stress that the staff were very friendly and helpful and are no way any issue. In fact, they're the only reason I'm being so generous with stars for this review.Firstly, the place was filthy. I don't mean that there were uncleaned tables because the staff clearly kept on top of that, what I mean is the seats were absolutely freaking disgusting. Every single chair which had fabric was filthy and a stained. Not like one or two, all of them, and even half the wooden chairs had something gross splattered up the backs of them. That alone is reason for a 1 star review because it was totally off-putting. Not sure what manager thought fabric chairs were a good idea but either the regular customers are disgusting or the chairs must be very old.Unfortunately we ordered food to eat in before we realised just how grubby the place was otherwise we would have turned the way we came.Unfortunately when my food came it wasn't heated enough but I didn't feel I could ask them to reheat as there were other people also waiting for food and we'd already waited a while as it was. So I ate it anyway but it was bland and tasteless. The same for my drink. I paid for a syrup in mine and I know there was a lot in it as I watched them make it but I forgot I even had a syrup until after I got home because I genuinely couldn't taste it. I even did a covid test when I got home because I thought I'd lost my sense of taste! My drink was also not very hot surprisingly. It had cream on top but usually hot drinks melt cream don't they? No, my cream and marshmallows stayed freezing cold and my drink was cool enough to guzzle in one without waiting (which I did of course so we could leave and I could wash the ick out of my brain from having to sit on and next to filthy chairs).Like I said, the staff were genuinely very nice but whoever is in charge must never work the floor because there's no other way they don't know how utterly disgusting it was in there. Filth and grime are very different from a bit of drink spilled and cups here and there.Safe to say, I will never go back. First and last visit I'm afraid ??

Hampshire Police have reverted back to tactic sleep deprivation, almost the same tactics as Star Hotel.I've been in and out sleep all night thanks to constant 'people' coming in and out, slamming bathroom door like five times in the space of ten seconds, jumping up and down, slamming front door, and I am sure someone with a ladder by my window tapping it....HAMPSHIRE POLICE!!! I AM TRYING TO SLEEP! YES! LIKE 90% OF PEOPLE OUT THERE, I SLEEP DURING THE NIGHT. You are unlawful!
