Book a table for sun 31 August for Sunday lunch and the food was excellent it was the best I tasted for a long time. The staff were brilliant and very helpful and nice definitely will book a table for Sunday lunch again. We'll done to all the staff there you were brilliant. Hope to see you soon x

A friend and I went to The Foresters on Bank Holiday Monday. We arrived on our bikes and everyone was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The garden is very nice and we enjoyed our drinks before going inside to order some food.
The quality of the food was excellent , we ordered fish and chips, and a Smashed Beef Burger. The pub is next to a wooded area, which is excellent for cycling and walking.
The toilets are very clean and in excellent order, which in my opinion is always a good sign.
Lauren was very polite and professional, as were all of the staff that we encountered. We will definitely recommend this wonderful pub to our friends and visit again. Thanks for being so nice and making us feel welcome. Best wishes David

My daughter and I came for a light lunch on a Sunday. It was naturally a busy day as the carvery is very popular but, the bar lady was quite frosty, no eye contact, no smile and we felt like we were an inconvenience because she was too busy. She was clearly frustrated with some colleagues but took it out on the customers. It was like I?d had an argument with her and she couldn?t bear to speak to us. Everything else was ok but she?s put me off coming again which is a shame.

This is the best place we have eaten at for a long time. We originally booked for 7 at a dog friendly table but we felt it was a bit hot to take ours (not knowing the layout of the pub). When we got there without dogs, they kindly moved us to another table, which for 7 was very flexible. The food was amazing. Everything was cooked well and really tasty. It was busy there (lots outside) but we never felt crowded or forgotten. I would definitely recommend

Wonderfully friendly and professional members of staff greeted us and proved attentive throughout our lunchtime visit.

We walked to the Forresters for a Sunday walk having booked a table for 3.30pm. We were ushered to a nice table, had our drinks order taken straight away and shown where the Cavery was given and taken care of and served really well. We enjoyed the food so much that we were tempted by the dessert menu. Now, usually I would shy away from deserts priced at £9 and £10 but as it was our first outing in a while, we went for the Apple & Cinnamon Crumble with warmed Custard + The Belgium Chocolate Cake with Honeycomb bits + Ice cream. Absolute witchcraft! Probably the best deserts we have ever had. The Crumble was so warming and scrumptious that it must be promoted as the Pub's Autumnal Classic and The Belgium Chocolate desert is highly recommended as top drawer by my wife. A superb afternoon. 5 Stars all round.

A wonderful experience. Great food and pleasant service by all the Foresters staff. A frequent visitor (>2 x per week) I will return tomorrow for lunch.
