Compass inn was a very nice country feel pub to visit with a large garden area food is great and the staff work hard would visit again no problem.

Lovely chicken and ham pie for me and very nice looking burgers and salads for others in our party. Very generous portions for very respectable prices. Lots of meat in my pie which is a rarity these days. Mandy behind the bar went totally above and beyond to look after us. We were told up front there's a bit of a wait for food but it arrived faster than we were led to believe. Lovely and cosy inside and mostly lovely outside but the odd bit could do with a refresh. But all credit to the team for showing that you can put out quality food and service and charge a fair price which many other venues fail to achieve. Well done guys.

Went yesterday for Mother's Day with my Mum. The food is always delicious but Holey moley the roast was stunning, we had the beef and the chicken breast, meat was so tender and juicy, the vegetables were cooked to perfection, oh the parsnip crisps were something else, the roast potatoes and gravy were fantastic too. Despite being really busy all the staff were friendly, welcoming, accommodating, happy and we had a good laugh too. It was really nice to see the landlady working away with the staff too lovely to see. Good beers and plenty of alcohol free choices too. I'm looking forward to calling in again in July. Keep up the brilliant work.

Was a nice pub , used well by local people. The food was ok , wedges not skin on chips. Brought in colsaw , burgers slightly over cooked .

Popped in very just after Midday on a Wednesday afternoon on my way to work from a trip away so it was very quiet which is to be expected.. The young barmaid was really friendly.. We both had the Chicken and Bacon pie and it was out of this world.. Filled to the brim, great pastry and the mash and veg was also good.. £16.95 for that but didn't mind as a decent pie is expensive and it was really good quality and there are cheaper meals at around the £12 mark.. Can't judge the booze mysekf as had to have a alcohol free beer as going to work but my mate enjoyed his pint of ale.. Would recommend anyone going here and will hopefully get back myself one day

I am a regular at the compas we? came her for breakfast on the 22nd June and we were very very disappointed the fried eggs were very very hard under neath the the eggs they were black I would never have served them up my self also couldn?t even cut the bacon it was so hard all ways loved it here for breakfast think you must have changed the so called cheff
