An incredible place!!The reputation for quality is so well deserved! The pricing is every fair value in my opinion!Somehow The pig manages to provide top tier quality, comfort and experience but without formality or pretence! The staff are super friendly, polite & knowledgeable!Fully recommend!!!

This is the second time my wife & I have visited this particular Pig & again it was a great stay. Very friendly welcome by Dan on arrival who showed us around to Bert's Box, which was a very comfortable Pig typical stay. Very clean with a few extras, which was lovely. We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent, with plenty to eat. The staff were very friendly & attentive & I'm sure we'll be visiting again (once we've been back to some of the others again, that is)

Overpriced and underwhelming, brought my mum here for a belated mother's day lunch as was recommended to do so, I think this place still trades on recommendations, as quite honestly it's outrageous how they can charge what they do for the size of the portions, I ordered a goat cheese pasta and 4 pieces of thin ravioli in a cream sauce with some random beetroot purée around the edge was delivered, the other plates were equally underwhelming, and the wine list doesn't bear thinking about unless you've a pre approved mortgage, shame that mother's day was forgettable, I won't be returning,

Lovely place however I always struggle with the restaurant menu here it's fancy strange non traditional stuff. Being a pig I would love some sort of Pig speciality or meat speciality like a hog roast or some selection of cooked meats. Service is very good here. Lovely place just something missing. Maybe it's a Spa.

Overall had a great stay (and food was fab) but wouldn't write home about it.Gorgeous bedrooms but missed the finer touches of some newer places (Elcot park etc) with complimentary pantry, luxury washing products.Bar area is great but the restaurant is very expensive - for a £120pp dinner I'd expect better service and experienced staff. Service was poor and management didn't seem on top of it (esp at breakfast).Overall we had a good stay but overpriced and misses the finer touches.

Of the hotel itself, very relaxed, nice space - very clean and comfortable. Staff excellent generally - well informed, friendly and go the extra mile. One of the people working out with the animals gave my 3 year old a quail egg, which was a delight for the little one.Rooms: The room we had was ok, super clean and well stocked - lovely single bed for the toddler in a recessed space, responded super fast to queries about heating not working and extra pillows. Room was a bit dark - ground floor courtyard - with a bathroom view of the bike shed. We were offered to move for our second night, but declined as it was a faff to move.On that second night the smell from a wood fire somewhere was so strong we had to sit awake with the room doors to the courtyard open (as no other windows) to air the room out. The lovely open fires / wood burners are great if they weren?t stopping you sleeping at 4am!!Food & drinks: Dinners in the restaurant were good - generally. Can adapt well for coeliacs, but no separate fryer for chips (sad face) - cocktails eclectic and unusual, which was good. Decent wine list. However for starters in the late teens and mains between 25 and 30, it was a little underwhelming. The starters could have been more generous - beef carpaccio super tasty, but not so much of it. Likewise mozzarella starter was mostly beetroot - no-one eats a mozzarella salad for the beetroot! Mains, conversely - pretty generous, though I feel that they should come with a protein, carb and veg - and you should not be forced to buy a (very tasty) side to complete your meal. Dessert (choc-ice) ok, but could have been a bit more decadent!Breakfast - pretty standard, but not the greatest. For a place called the pig you?d expect the sausages and bacon to be spectacular - they weren?t! The eggs were ok and the buffet stuff was passable, but you had to dig to find anything substantial for gluten free diners. If you?re ordering in fancy pastries from London, you should be able to get gluten free ones too.Noteworthy details: Lovely for kids. Ours got a free book and a welcome message. The staff are lovely with kids and really go out their way to make it an experience for them. Food options for kids are good too, albeit a bit pricey - but I think you?d expect that at a luxury venue such as this in the New Forest.

We love The Pig Brokenhurst. Cosy atmosphere and beautiful decor. Everything is so clean and well thought out & the hospitality is wonderful. The food, wine, cocktails & coffee are fantastic! We love the 25 mile menu - everything is selected from 25 mile radius of the hotel. And their veggies & salads are fresh from their gardens. We highly recommend a visit!

If you are vegan or are planning to eat here with any vegan friends please reconsider. While they do have a vegan option of Cauliflower ?steak? it?s actually the smallest portion for a main ever!!! It?s literally a single slice of a cauliflower head (around 20 calories) along with some leaves for which they have the audacity to charge 19£. So unless this is the amount of food you are used to better stay away

They did not warn us about the flooded approach road, which nearly ruined our car and subsequently spoiled our visit. The food was surprisingly banal but the wines superb, Anna a great Sommelier!
