We wanted to book the full afternoon tea and phoned on the day at 9.30am for a 2.30pm booking. Apparently we needed to give 24 hrs notice even though this is not mentioned on the website (it simply states that booking is required). We decided to go anyway for a more modest cream tea which was ok. The ambience however is poor, the café being in an old greenhouse and it didn't feel very clean I'm afraid. We probably won't visit again.

Worth the 25-Mile Ride!
My close friend Kais and I cycled 25 miles just to try this place?and let me tell you, it was absolutely worth it. After such a tough journey, all I wanted was to sit somewhere relaxed and chill out, and that?s exactly what I got.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a fantastic young lady?Megan, I believe her name was. She was an absolute delight! Her customer service was top-notch: constantly smiling, incredibly friendly, and super chatty in the best way possible. She made me feel completely welcome, even though I was sweaty and probably didn?t smell the best after the ride.
The food wasn?t fine dining, but it was exactly what my body needed?hearty, satisfying, and the perfect fuel for the trip back.
All in all, if Megan is the one serving you, I guarantee you?re in for an amazing experience. Can?t recommend it enough!

Me and my boyfriend came for lunch and the staff were very polite and friendly towards us and the food came out within 15 minutes with excellent customer service and it was very delicious

Not a nice experience. The food delivered to other tables looked nice. So we ordered drinks and a fruit scone each. However, when they were served at the table, one scone looked OK, the other resembled a flat pancake so it was returned. The replacement scone was virtually thrown at us and turned out to be hard as rock. Probably the worst scone we have ever had and we have had a few! For the privelidge of this experience, it cost us £15+ so not chesp by any means. I would not recommend or visit this place again!

Only had tea and a scone as they stop serving hot food mid afternoon. Nice setting and the garden centre adjoining has some nice stuff.

What a shame!!
Beautiful little spot, nice sunny day, on a Saturday. Standards here were shocking.
Seems to be run by children who have no customer service. Not very knowledgeable about there own menu. Food coming out at different times and usually people go out to enjoy a meal all at once. Was like the blind leading the blind. And full of excuses when asked.
Will not be returning which is a shame, very poor standards.

RUDE STAFF.
Very disappointing, ordered an iced vanilla coffee & was given a hot oat coffee. I told them what I had ordered and then a different member of staff came back with the oat coffee insisting this was what I had ordered. Which is not as I am allergic to oats.
I then waited and had to go up to ask where the coffee was and they told me ?you rejected the order so we aren?t making a new one?.
Eventually I was given the correct coffee but the waitress slammed the glass on the table and spilt it everywhere. This was not my fault that I was given the wrong coffee but I was made to feel like it was.
I was then given my breakfast and as the waitress put the breakfast down she said ?full English, no mushrooms? but the plate had a huge mushroom?!
I feel it was a really simple order and messed up and to be made to feel the person in the wrong was not kind.
