Stunning location in the New Forest with some amazing views .Would happily return and thoroughly recommend. Just minutes from the Museum by car. Even has 7kw & 50kw chargers on site.Swimming pool is a tad shallow and small but still nice to have the option to chill out in for a while.

Lovely relaxing location and an excellent afternoon

Oh dear. I so wanted to give this a higher score. The staff are friendly is the one real positive. Otherwise....... Rooms and building in general in dire need of decor improvement. Food portion sizing and presentation very lacking. Room amenities laughable and in our case very dangerous (bedside lamp had broken at bulb base and could have electrocuted someone). Second lamp also had to be removed for repair. TV in the room is the size of a postage stamp. No USB sockets. Green ceiling night light clearly came from Heathrow Airport it's so bright. Overall, I would stay somewhere else in the area. Oh, it is very handy for the train station, as the railway line is adjacent to the property.Rooms: In need of refurbishment.Walkability: Walk straight on to the New Forest.Food & drinks: 10 minutes to get a G&T in an empty bar!

Our family was looking forward to a relaxing stay at Beaulieu Hotel. Unfortunately, our experience was far from relaxing, marred by a series of disappointing events that significantly impacted our stay.Firstly, upon arrival, we were disappointed to find the swimming pool closed. This was one of the main reasons we chose Beaulieu Hotel for our stay, aiming to enjoy some family time by the pool. No prior notification was given regarding the closure, leaving us and, more importantly, our children, disappointed. The condition of our room further added to our discontent. The blinds were broken so we couldn't get any natural light. When we attempted to report this issue to reception, we found it unmanned for hours, leaving us with no immediate solution or alternative to mitigate the problem.Worst of all, our night was interrupted by the fire alarm going off three times - at 11pm, 5am, and 6am. The disturbance was especially distressing for our young children, who were startled and upset by the loud alarms and the disruption of their sleep. Upon addressing this issue with the manager, the response was dismissive, attributing the frequent alarms to the sensitivity of the smoke detectors. We were told, "these things happen when someone has a shower with an open door" a response that was both unsatisfactory and unsettling. It's worth noting that we have never encountered such a frequent occurrence of false alarms in any of our previous hotel stays, except for a distant memory of student halls where such incidents were the result of mischief. The lack of prompt and effective communication and resolution from the hotel staff only added to our frustration. In conclusion, our stay at Beaulieu Hotel was far from the relaxing and enjoyable experience we had anticipated. The closed amenities, unattended reception, and distressing night disturbances due to the overly sensitive fire alarm system significantly detracted from our stay. It is unlikely we will return or recommend Beaulieu Hotel to others, particularly families with young children seeking a peaceful retreat.

The hotel is situated in the most beautiful location in the New Forest. Amazing views and lovely walks. Dog friendly. The reception staff were great. However, the food was awful. Breakfast,, well I?ve never eaten anything that bad. 1 dried up piece of bacon, half a mushroom, half a slice of black pudding, a sausage that was so anneamic that I didn?t chance eating it, the egg was so rubbery(obviously been kept warm on a hot plate) it would have made a superb rubber ball. Thank goodness the portion was so small I left all of it as inedible. We decided to eat in the restaurant the second night of our stay very bad mistake. Firstly the menu is so limited and the. To be told that both of my choices were not available. The only other meal I even considered was the steak at 28,00. What rip off. It was so chewy that the dog had most of it. The chips were totally uncooked and raw, the tomatoes looked like they?d had a fight and the so called salad was indescribable. Disgusting and totally over priced.my second choice of starter, was the salmon. I think they have a game ?hunt the salmon? I lost.My 5 year old granddaughter has the veg sticks which obviously has been hours earlier, even days as they were dried out and disgusting. Her cheesy pasta, well one mouthful said it all, we ordered the burger choice hoping it would be better. A dried out roll and burger. She went to bed very hungry. My daughter had the burger which was passable. The bill came to 124.00. I didn?t know if to laugh or cry. A total rip off in every way. This morning we stuck to cereal and croissants. No way was I going to put my stomach through another terrible experienceThe rooms are pleasant, especially as they are dog friendly, although there was a background smell of wee.As I say reception staff were lovely and the lounge with the fire and a jigsaw was extremely enjoyable, they really need to look at their overpriced dreadful food and ensure that they actually do have food available. Will I return no

The hotel was lovely seeing in the New Forrest, plenty of walks for you to do. Only down fall was not enough staff, there was no bar and the restaurant next to the hotel was short of staff as well and quiet expensive for what you get.About 10mins down the road and you come to beautiful village of Lyndhurst where you find lots of quirky shows and lovely cafes/tea rooms. If you like Italian food there is an excellent restaurant to.

Beautiful location and helpful staff, room was missing some washing bits which were provided very quickly after a call to reception. There was a noisy banging from a air vent in the bathroom at night which woke us but closing the bathroom door muffled this, the bed was comfortable however was not a real double as booked and instead two single mattresses pushed together, staying for one night these were tollerable however if we stayed longer I would have asked for a room move due to these points. The restaurant adjoined to the hotel was beautiful with quality food and friendly staff!

Didn't stay here so am unable to rate the rooms. But the rest......spot on. Lovely pub. Open fire, sandwiches to die for and service with a smile, they were all amazing. Can't wait to visit again.

Location of this hotel is perfect and right in the heart of the new forest. Its nice and quiet which is perfect for a weekend getaway.Unfortunately the rooms felt very dated for the £145 price tag we were charged. Additionally the service is non-existent in the hotel itself and you will need to go to the drift pub next door for anything.

Absolutely dreadful. Due to being an old building the floorboards creak so loudly, constantly. Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. If you want to relax, forget it!Location is fine.Staff lacking and slow at reception.Room dirty and in disrepair with stained carpets and shabby paint.Horrible experience.

The hotel is set in a fantastic location, a few minutes from Beaulieu. The hotel is full of character and on first glance looks lovely. And we thought it would be a lovely place to celebrate our anniversary. However, be warned, this hotel does not live up to the glossy website On the plus side, the reception staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful. However... from that point on, things were not good. Management clearly doesn't respond to previous reviews which are telling them that rooms are shoddy and food service is poor. For example: Our room (£199 for one night) had... badly damaged paintwork, a stuck window that wouldn't close properly or open fully, cupboard doors hanging off (in separate cupboards - one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom), a faulty remote for the TV, a broken bath and mouldy sealant around the bath top. Really???? Faulty Towers had better decor.. Management should be truly ashamed. It would take literally five minutes to visit a room and make a quick checklist of things to fix, and then fix them. The impression otherwise is that guests are irrelevant. Whilst the food was very nice (well done Chef), the service in the restaurant was absolutely abominable - truly shocking. We ate supper and breakfast there. On both occasions we were treated with sullen faces and poor service. On both occasions (after a lengthy wait) I literally had to drag someone over to place an order - and I was not alone - all the guests were receiving the same lack of service. At breakfast, food was uncovered and open to a very happy collection of wasps. The fruit salad on the menu was not on the buffet and when requested we were told 'we've run out' - that's that then, eh?. Here's a suggestion... go and make some more then!!! It's just a fruit salad! And it was halfway through service, so it wasn't at the very end. Management needs to get a grip of their asset management protocols and their restaurant staff (not chef - the food, when we got it, was good). I heard some of the side comments between restaurant staff - they were not flattering to guests, let's put it that way. Either retrain them or replace them - they let your hotel down. All in all, a very disappointing stay, which was not 'as billed'. It rather spoiled our celebration. However, at least the pool was open. Oh no, wait... that was shut for maintenance...

Very lovely hotel in the beautiful setting of the New Forest that gave myself and my father a perfect break. Staff couldn't do enough for us and the rooms a good size with very comfortable beds and both evening meals and breakfast plenty of choices
