A well maintained, quiet woodland. Perfect for dog walking, children on bikes and general peace and quiet with a few bits and pieces to see along the way. Mainly dirt paths that can get muddy but there are board walks through the wetlands and little bridges crossing the stream. The great oak is something to see out. Standing in all its splendour with a wood carved throne to the side to take in its beauty. The local rangers are doing an amazing job of maintaining this woodland, it?s a credit to them.

Dog-friendliness: Great for my grandchildren who love to play among us, collecting cones moss leaves and also good for our dog who also likes to explore.Picnic area: There are some benches but lots of grass areas, just bring a blanket

Great paths and area for dog walking, a short run or bike ride. The cutting down of the rhododendrons and the creation on the wooden walkway over the boggy ground has transformed the woods, they have gone from dark and murky to bright and welcoming. Well done to the Dead Water Valley Trust for their awesome work ?.

Good to walk, and walk the dogs... When is dry is fantastic... when is raining, I go somewhere else... We get so dirty there, and the dog smells so bad... and I mean bad... I went to places where the dog got dirty and didnt smell so bad as here... but when dry is really good :p

Lovely place for a walk, especially with your four legged friends. The inclosure has really come a long way since when I moved here 13 years ago. Look forward to seeing more developments to further enhance the experience.
