Lovely coffee shop but unfortunately the staff have been incredibly rude on at least 3 occasions. This weekend I got an irritated sigh and eye roll? she carried on being difficult for no reason. Shame as it would be my preference, however another coffee shop that is dog friendly are so nice so I?ll go there in future I?m afraid.

Cosy coffee shop with additional seating in a lovely basement. Food, coffees, and teas always great quality, with some lovely knick-knacks and dog treats on sale as well.
Service is always friendly and welcoming.

We used to go to willows every week for over year, but recently the staff have been unwelcoming and extremely rude, which is a shame because it used to be a fantastic place to meet friends and the coffee is lovely and the cake is wonderful. Avoid if you want a welcoming experience. We won?t be going back until the staff stop being so rude.

Have visited many times, usually weekly or more frequently.
Some changes would make each visit considerably better.
? The speciality coffee machine seems to output very low temperature drinks. The latte and cappuccino are both served cool enough to drink instantly, rather than hot enough to need to leave it to cool over a cozy chat - please make it hotter so we can savour our drinks, not gulp them down the moment they arrive, before they get colder.
? if you want a hot snack, you?ve got toasted sandwiches or nothing. So, if you don?t like, or your dentures can?t manage, toast then you?re stuck for hot food. Paninis or sausage rolls, pizza slices , heated (squidgy) sandwiches and slices would be appreciated
? downstairs : cold (I?ve not known the heating to be on since the flood)
? downstairs : needs soft gentle background music - it?s been pending connection for months but downstairs needs something to lift it out of the silent sunken library atmosphere it?s currently portraying.
? do something to deter the laptop hogs - seating is at a premium and a laptopper who?s using 1 x dried up coffee cup as their passport to use your power sockets, and WiFi for 4 hours whilst hogging a table for 4 people, is stopping several other customers from patronage throughout that time they?re tapping away
? loyalty card is rather disappointing? you?ve got to buy an awful lot of drinks (and even that?s limited to 1 stamp per visit, even when you buy several drinks per visit) to earn one free drink - buy 6 drinks even if that?s in just 2 visits, should get you a free drink

Lovely place but unfortunately my sausage roll was crushed in a panini toaster, it's a pastry product, and still cold in the middle. On asking for a swap for a cake, rather than throw up later on, I was made to feel like I was the villain and felt very embarrassed confront of other customers. After 'asking the manageress' I was told that on this occasion they would swap the potentially food poisoning squashed sausage roll. Staff training obviously not a strong point. The coffee and the cake were great.

Thanks for the response below. I think the sum of it is that the sausage roll had not been reheated to a safe temperature. (75c at least if I remember my food hygiene certificate training!)
