me and my nephew played on Wednesday,,,,,,
I only been playing 9 months,,,,
Great up,,,,friendly staff on arrival,
Course was tidy,the maintenance team were out redoing the bunkers,,, they green keepers were in and around most hole on the way out but communicated well so we can play through,,,
Good mix of tech and the occasional long hole,,,
We both really enjoyed it,,,?
Will definitely return as the vibe was great,,,,

Club house and course were excellent, tough course and very hospitable staff. Pro shop not so much very dismissive of an enquiry I had. Hopefully not normally so.
Would still return though.

Enjoyable, unpretentious course, just outside Basingstoke. It's a relatively new course, around 30 years old.
The course is fairly generous off the tee. There's a good layout with a healthy variety of holes, water features on 6 holes. The course is in reasonable condition, the bunkers are its weakest point.
The course is built on chalk, so drainage isn't an issue.
There are good practice facilities, albeit the balls are sub-standard range balls, at £4 for 30!
The clubhouse is friendly, I think the food is limited.
There is a 3rd 9 hole course that I didn't play, holes 19-27.

Played as a single visitor at Weybrook west today, thoroughly enjoyed myself until I come across a group with the clubs director Victor Stanley in. I passed 2 groups before, both incredibly nice and talkative. However, 2 members from Victors group one being himself could not have made me feel more unwelcome and quite frankly ruined my round. Questioning why am I playing alone who ?allowed this to happen?. It?s a disgrace to golf that people like this run clubs, luckily I am a grown adult and can handle this kind of pathetic old prat mentality. However a young lad or girl just getting into the game would be devastated and would simply never play again. The course it?s self is decent, shame the directors are not. I don?t expect to pay £50 for a round and get given sarky rude comments.

A really lovely ambience there, the club was full, my only issue is the outside seating needs to be updated, the benches are so uncomfortable, you really need to have tables and seperate chairs down there now and maybe make the area much bigger, there is plenty of space around that particular area, but nonetheless it was a lovely experience, lovely friendly staff.

Amazing value for money, brilliant course the west is more interesting and slightly better condition but great venue and super friendly staff. Play it.
