Absolutely useless..After joining last year I had a problem with my bike not starting after a night out in Brighton on my BMW motorbike.Contacted them att 11 pm , Sunday night ?They said .. No patrols available and said they would send a local recovery van ' Westbourne motors 'Nearly 4 hours later, he turned up , said it was a computer issue, no can do and back to the AA for a recovery. They ignored me for an hour the said , No patrols available..no can do until morning...at this point I had to taxi home £ 29 .I was told my bike would be recovered within 48 hours..48 hours later my bike was still there..I eventually recovered it myself..ThecAA app is a disgrace... push messages every 4 mins saying ' sorry we are late getting to you 'These people are basically useless incompetent thieves... DO NOT USE

Disappointed with your so called service, been with you for 15 years, leaving a disabled man over 3 hours in the dark on a steep bank in the dark, not expectable ?

Brilliant service came to with me within 17 minutes of making a call and then got me and my vehicle back on the road. Much better than RAC who I was on the phone with for 20 minutes then hung up! ?????????? AA

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Car got recovered from AA and despite me saying I want to keep the car the agent treated it like it was being written off and caused much more damage to the car. They?ve left ALOT of my car parts neglected on the floor in the rain which when visiting the site a few days after I see my electrical components soaked!!!Having made the complaint and they claim they handle complaints well, I was being accused of driving a broken car and saying they won?t take responsibility at all!!NOT JUST THAT THEY STOLE PERSONAL ITEMS FROM MY CAR ALSO INCLUDING PHONE CHARGERSWorst everJamie cripps sir you have let me down

Trying today to get through..About rectifying the faults which are now occuring because of the messing around with me engine management sensor..No joy...Whatsoever..!!!I think they've caught wind. That I've complained too the official ombudsman..And that is why their not picking up the phone.Bury your head in the sand mentality. And I'm here telling everybody what a shoddy serviceJust been told ,that the gent who ripped me off first time has retired .So, does that mean I get a refund because if that.Your service has approved because he's retired .No....Is the simple truth..You've farmed out responsibility ,and the trust has long gone...Everytime I call you out I get a bad time, nothing is rectified.( Except he clipped the breather pipe back into position,2 mins work)And on this occasion,I dint know what's going too happen next..My lights shorted out the radio..it's frightening if I driving at night and open a window will it short my lightsI don't know .And they say I should pay out of my own pocket !!!And again. As Dan,whoses in his eighties,Seen everything, said. The A A .Is "fur coats,no knickers".People off a certain age.And still believe in paying for a quality service..Will understand..!Really bad service .Last boxing day, amber engine light came in.In built up traffic,in weymouth.mManaged too get it back home ,rang the fourth emergency service. The Automobile Association.Problem solved.Half an hour later, man turns up,turns off, sensor in dashboard, and for good customer satisfaction, squirts WD40,on my squeaky pulley..And was off..Twenty minutes .,and a £127, taken out if my bank account within seconds. The light he turned out ,was a warning light not too travel any distance and should have been left on .I still had too go a few days later to a garage with a diagnostic machine and fork out another £147.And the pulley, once the WD 40,,evaporated,squeak againWas I impressed NoIs the honest truthFriday last 22nd of December ..engine warning light came on..I was lucky,5 miles from flat...They came out, rectified fault, breather pipe had dislodged from top of engine.........And then he spent ,2 hours trying too turn the warning light off, because his laptop was old and didn't communicate with my EMS .Not only was I bloody frozen too death, because big the long wait...And no where to go too toilet .I know find, the radio doesn't work because he shorted it out ...I rang this morning and ,Neil from services said I had to go too a ford garage and pay for it myself ...Even though their highly trained mechanic ,done it ..I just as well went too monkey world ,and let one of the chimps look at it......!!!!I must have paid well over £500 ,in the last two years and for what..A squirt of WD40..Feel totally truthfully ripped off.The mechanic, said there's a fault code..Come up..E 711...Your mechanic must have wiped the EMS,clean. And not installed the code for my cd,player. As it is ,he said I'll have too source a complete unit from eBay..Costing me more outlay. Is this good business practice, screwing the little guyWho happens to be Me..Who happens to blog review business!!!500,000 viewings in the last three months..I don't really care about the moneyIt's the service you should have provided and in no way did I get anything..Fourth emergency service..Should be bodgit and scarper..!

The only reason for any stars were the 1st and 3rd recovery men. The second recovery man damaged my car whilst attempting to gain entry, no protective equipment used, no apology, useless customer service. Would not recommend.

Worst company ever! Been with them a few years first time today at midday we have to call them out, patrol comes - can't fix the van so arrange recovery. At 4:30pm Anderson commercials call to say AA have cancelled the job and to contact AAContact AA who state another recovery company called Manchester breakdown is coming. Then they call again to state a patrol car is coming to try and fix the van - called to tell them a patrol car arrived earlier and couldn't fix itBeen promised recovery all day and constantly getting texts stating delays - and the time updating to even later.Made several calls and no one is helping or interested - there is no power or electric to the van

Not impressed, took out a policy and when taking my car to the MOT centre there was an issue (paid a garage a fortune to work on brakes and they did not secure a wheel). Phoned AA, not interested unless I paid £137 as car MOT was up. Legally driving to MOT centre but that is not good enough for The AA. Policy cancelled and gone elsewhere.

Broke down in a remote area and were told that a driver would be with us with a few hours. Waited in a dangerous location with children, then the predicted time of arrival kept extending. Finally, we received a message to say they weren?t coming that day just as it was starting to turn dark. Had to make the decision to walk over 2 miles to the nearest pub before they closed on a dark unlit road. The call agent was very rude, not sure why the attitude was deemed helpful. Ended up with them passing the job to another garage who said they might be able to get there for around 1am. Too risky to walk back to the car, had to ask for favours from friends and get one to drive over 2 hours to collect some of us and pay a taxi company £80 to take the last one. Returned the next day to meet the driver from the other company and finally get the car recovered. Have been told by multiple people that it?s common practice for the AA to make you wait hours in these locations but never actually attend. Why not just send to the other competent companies straight away and be honest with drivers so they can plan accordingly. Absolutely shocking service.

Tow truck driver tried to scam us out of ?2000 euros when we broke down in Italy. The recovery assistance the AA sent us when we broke down in Italy was a scammer. We were given no choice of recovery company or repair garage and our car was impounded and we were physically threatened unless we paid the ?2000 they demanded. We had to call the police to escape out of a very dangerous situation.Repair was subsequently completed by another garage for ?100.When we complained to the AA they absolved themselves of all responsibility and told us that they were not accountable for the conduct of recovery services that they organised even though a simple google search would have flagged this company up as fraudulent. The AA tried to fob us off with a £200 ?goodwill? cheque for placing in a grave situation and ruining our holiday.Disgraceful company that does not care about you or your safety.

Dealing with the incompetent Jade MacPhail, she did not listen to my complaint and was very rude. They currently owe me around £1000. Had to escalate the complaint to NCS. They recovered my car to a garage who could not fix it then refused to take it to a garage who could fix it. Then i raised a complaint and they just closed it with no contact then jade did not do anything about it.

Broke down in a beach car park last night wanting to go home after a day out. We had no breakdown cover and called around. RAC was closing and couldn't sign us up or help, others were already closed at 7pm on a Friday.AA was able to sign us up and sent someone as well as reassure us that we will find a solution. We waited 3h and the engineer fixed the car within 10min. So happy and grateful we made it back home that night.Amazing service, calm and reassuring.

The worst experience I've had with breakdown, would never recommend or use AA again!Keys got locked in the back of my vehicle in Wales at a race track. I had no access to my phone, wallet or my belongings which were all in the back of the van.I had to use someone else's phone to call AA and join up and pay emergency call out. I waited 3.5 hours only to get a phone call saying the contractor they used in Wales would not come out to me as he was a road side breakdown and not a locksmith. He then refused to call AA and explain why he couldn't do the job. I explained the vulnerable position I was in, with no access to my phone or the ability to stay anywhere at 3am in the morning in the middle of a field. It was terrible weather and I was left completely stranded.I paid £247 in total for emergency response and cover for the year. But recieved absolutely nothing from AA. They left me completely isolated on my own. I had to sort the issue myself the next day by using an angle grinder to cut my way into the van door and get in.Never again would I use the AA, and I would not recommend them to anyone. You can't quite understand how vulnerable you feel until you go through a situation like this. Hurrendous stress caused by the no show. Not happy at all.
