Tried to fill a pvt prescription, they tried to charge £47.19. Ridiculous. They then insisted I HAD to pay for it, because it had been dispensed. I disagreed, I had not been notified of the price prior to dispensing, & didn?t agree to be robbed.
Asda charged £18.70.
Know where I?ll be sending people for the prescription!

I went to this branch quite late at night, typically only needing one thing. I ended up holding much more than I could bear and dropped milk EVERYWHERE. I found a member of staff, and felt so bad, I offered to clean it up. He said absolutely not, that he would do it and it was ok. I didn?t ask for his name, but he had really kind eyes and a friendly smile!

How disappointed to find on entry to store no hand sanitizer at 2 entry stations. In the wave of the flu you should be more on the ball

It?s a very neon bright surveillance city store with very limited selection and variety. It follows the pile it high philosophy and just churns out the usual basic fodder food that people seem to want. It employs very clever marketing pretending to buy from specific farmers but it?s all a lie as there are so many shops that push the same products. The pricing structure is a form of coercive control, sign up for their club card and you will be given huge discounts but it means selling your data to every brokerage on the internet. Not an enjoyable experience if you ever get dragged in to shop.

I went for a late shopping after a long shift work. I was rushing as I had things to do at home. But a male customer in front of me and a lady cashier decided to chat even after paying. I'm OK with casual 'hi and hello, how's family'. But this one took ages as the male customer was already inviting the cashier for something she hasn't been. A lot of convincing and persuasion which was accommodated with equal eagerness from the cashier. It felt like it was forever, and the cashier didn't even apologise for making another customer wait. It's so inappropriate and unprofessional. Hope they know when to separate social life from work.

The home shopping staff who does products picking for online customers are very rude and there are always so many of them. You better not get in their way while doing your shopping, they give you bad attitudes.

Same old problem on the weekends. Basic requirements for your weekend shopping is a trolley but this stores leadership team feels it o.k never to have any outside the store and therefore must think it's fine for thier customers to either go back to the carpark to find one or stand around waiting for one,. This has been going on all year. Simple fix, why don't they just either employee more people, buy more trollies ( Tesco's profits are very high) or go and speak to their competitors and ask how they don't have this issue, unless they simple don't care about customer service anymore.

I had the privilege of being helped by Lorna at the Tesco superstore near Basingstoke.
Lorna is professional, kind, and calm. Thank you for staff members like Lorna. All the best for the busy festive season.

Generally a good store although why they change the aisles now and again is beyond me. If you go in the evening be prepared for night fill in the aisles. Self service tills are slow to barcode.

Only 6 self service machines for baskets and only 2 of them take cash . most of the time you are lucky if 1 of them works today they are the only 1s that don't work. Other supermarkets in Basingstoke have more than 2 machines that take chash. Also stop putting prices up to match aldi if your price is cheaper than aldi why would people go there and not too you
