My husband have purchased safety shoes from this store, and left shoe is slightly narrow in the front, and very uncomfortable, however, they seems to be the same size. The store have refused to exchange them, even if we have the proof of purchase and they are brand new!
Selling faulty items and not bothering to take responsibility.

Staff too busy talking in the till with each other. Doesn?t care people are in a queue and even if you make an eye contact with them to be called, they just ignore you. Rubbish, rubbish and rubbish customer service. Poor attitude. They are at the job not in gossip party.

Apalling service. If you need help they all run and hide somewhere and when you finally manage to sort it yourself you get others jumping in front of the queue. The guy on the till didn't say anything to the "jumper", probably they are desperate for sales. And since they are desperate for salez, I am going on Amazon.

On Jan 8th 2025 i brought my lively 4year old to the shop to buy some trainers something that isn't a easy task so came at a quiter time in the day, i chatted with the lovely Sales assistant Gemma about what kind of shoe i was looking for and that my son might find it difficult to sit still, Gemma was fantastic at interacting with my son who immediately took her hand and happily walked over to a quiet shoe fitting area my son was so relaxed with Gemma and sat really well trying on the trainers, Gemma was patient waiting for my son whilst he exitedly walked around the shop in the trainers to see how they felt.
On leaving the shop my son happily gave Gemma high fives, the other shop assistant working on the till was also very friendly and polite. My son & i left the shop very happy and i was also relieved to have had such a calm shopping experience.

?Don?t be fooled by price displays. Always check the bill after paying. The 2-for-£3 offer for Prime drinks, as shown in the picture, does not apply to all four varieties displayed. It only applies to the first two. So why are the other varieties displayed in the same place??

This company has no after care if things go wrong. They will just fob you off in the hope that you will go away! Don't by anything that you can't afford to lose your money on when it turns defective!

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a recent purchase of Nike Reax 8 TR Men?s trainers. I bought these shoes as a gift, and they have turned out to be extremely disappointing.
Shortly after starting to use them, the trainers began to squeak incessantly, no matter what type of floor they were worn on. This noise is not only annoying but also embarrassing. I have taken videos to document the issue and am prepared to send them to you upon request.
Given the high expectations associated with the Nike brand, I find the quality of these trainers unacceptable. I am very frustrated and disappointed with this purchase and do not recommend these trainers.

Went in today four staff just talking to their Buddies waited 20 plus minutes I ended up helping a couple with shoe sizes due to working before and I knew my stuff eventually I was seen and the person on till didn't radio for anyone despite the large queue.
Also previously working for the company it doesn't take 25 minutes to look for a shoe ur ment to radio someone in stock room or just don't gossip which is what they were doing .

Appalling service today here. Bought a pair of Vans trainers and realised I?d been over charged £11. Took the staff a while to investigate it culminating in who I believed to be a manager refusing to refund the over charge claiming they had been put in the wrong place on the shelf and were £55 not £44 despite a colleague returning the trainer to its place after finding a pair in my size.
I requested a full refund and he expected me to walk upstairs to a different till to get the refund to which I obviously refused. They had already given poor customer service and now they expected me to work for a refund in effect.
The manager never made eye contact throughout the experience and never apologised but looked awkward and unsure.
After leaving the store found the trainers were in fact the price on the shelf as indeed they were that price online. They were even the cheaper price on Amazon.
I felt fobbed off and disappointed as I also work in retail and know how it should be done.
To the Sports Direct Senior Team, your manager failed today at your Basingstoke branch to give great customer service and put right a clear error.

So went into store today, first person I met at the door I asked him about a product and was quite rude and abrupt, I don't really understand today's trends for teens so needed help to get nephew a tracksuit he wanted Nike, so I said don't worry please just point me in right direction as he was clearly more interested in the screen he had, sorry I don't go here often.
Also I gave up and decided not to buy anything as it seemed most of the staff, when I tried to find them were basically not interested in helping me, I was near a guy with glasses quite young, I was going to ask him re a item but he seemed so Moody like alot of the staff across all the 3 shop tier. I decided I would leave everything and go online. Basically, I couldn't find anyone to help me.
It's not great when you're getting to my age at 50, and I don't know what my nephews will want and what's in fashion. So, as I left as I didn't feel welcome and was ignored even though I tried to gain attention but like I said most were stood around i.e. staff in the clothes area just looked so unapproachable, so I left.
I won't be returning again, apologies as I expected more empathy, care, and help, especially at this time of year.
