I?m very disappointed with my recent experience at Specsavers. I now have two pairs of glasses that are practically useless because the anti-glare coating, which was recommended to me, was not added when the glasses were ordered.
This coating is essential?without it, I can literally see the manufacturing trace numbers through the lenses, which is incredibly distracting and frustrating. To make matters worse, adding the coating now costs £35 per pair, meaning I?d have to pay £70 just to make my glasses usable. That feels like a sneaky upsell tactic, especially since it was discussed during the consultation but never applied.
I asked if they could at least coat both pairs for the price of one, but they refused. For a company that prides itself on customer service and value, this was a very disappointing experience.
I expected better transparency and support.

My experience was excellent from start to finish. The staff were welcoming, professional, and attentive, making me feel comfortable throughout the visit. The eye test was thorough and clearly explained, with the optometrist taking the time to answer my questions and provide helpful advice. I also appreciated the efficiency of the appointment ? everything ran smoothly without unnecessary waiting.
When it came to choosing glasses, the team were friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, helping me find the right frames without any pressure. The overall atmosphere was positive, and I felt well looked after at every stage. The combination of professional service, clear communication, and genuine care made the visit very reassuring

I am delighted with my new glasses and sunglasses. Some adjustments were needed after several days. Superb attention from Garry who made the necessary tweaks. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The whole process was easy and pleasant. Happy customer!

Eye test been second checked and was found to be wrong. Specsavers seem to blame me and won?t refund for test or apologise for telling me I needed new glasses. If I followed there advice I would have spent £185 on top off the test price for glasses that would have given me a headache or made me think I had something more serious wrong
