The staff are absolutely top class, especially the store manager. I?ve been a regular and subscriber with Pret for a long time now and have no intention of stopping. I travel all over the UK with my job, so can?t be as regular at Basingstoke as I used to be, but I?ll always stop for a coffee and a chat whenever I?m in the area. Basingstoke always provide the best service I?ve experienced in a Pret, and I?ve been to quite a few to say the least!

I used to like Pret. You used to get nice coffee in a proper ceramic cup, toasted sandwiches cut in half and served with care and presented on a tray. Now you get your diluted coffee in a paper cup, your toasted sandwich tossed on to the counter (in the hope that you notice it's ready) and have to eat it surrounded by decaying and damaged fixtures and fittings. I guess this is the price of maintaining the bottom line ? Thankfully there are better independent coffee shops in Basingstoke.

£2.90 for a tea served in a paper cup to drink in. No wonder there?s a queue at Costa across the mall. This has to be the most expensive in town.

Terrible. They keep you waiting without even acknowledging that you were there while they?re too busy dealing with the Deliveroo orders. I had to walk out. I?m cancelling my subscription.

After more than half year, we revisited this coffee shop. We noticed most of the previous lovely staff have all been replaced. What happened?
The nice atmosphere and well service have gone. The new store manager is not helpful to the staff at all! Look like a Commander only!
Please give back our old Pret back like before!

Been going here for years, think it's the best chain coffee shop in town. The team is very friendly and they are a lot faster than the other coffee chains.

Amazing staff, best service ever! So busy, but don't be discouraged, these guys are lightning fast and super friendly and they remember your order. Like WOW. They've got me hooked and it's nothing to do with caffeine ?. And the pret sub is the best offer ever too.

Never been to a coffee shop where there is no option other than paper cups? Is it now a thing where you spend £20 for 2 people for a coffee and a sandwich for lunch and have to drink out of paper cups with a plastic lid?Asked for it to be remade and was told they only do paper cups now? This wasn?t the case earlier this year in this same Pret. Also, why ask if you are eating in or taking away if you also don?t get a plate for anything you are eating? A hot wrap eaten out of a cardboard sleeve, really?Thankfully Starbucks and Costa still know how to serve coffee and food properly so will be taking my custom elsewhere.
