Placed a delivery order at 5:40, it didn't arrive until 8:45. Called an hour and a half in to check, was told it was still under way because there were only two chefs. Fine, I understand restaurants being short staffed. Called again just under the three hour mark, found it suspicious that the order had left as I was on the phone trying to cancel the order. No comp for the wait, not even an apology from the employee on the phone. Again, I understand accidents happen and being short of employees, but this was a bit much.

Really nice place. The system was down and the man was very rude. Being neurodivergent, this made me uncomfortable for the rest of the evening. He didn't attempt to apologise for his attitude or tone, but knew he messed up as continued to come over and try to make small talk afterwards.

Visited tonight and had an awful experience. There were plenty staff but seemed like only 1 person was actually working. Waited 15 to be seated at a table. (That?s because only 1 person actually doing something whilst 2 of the other staff was busy unpacking glasses on a shelve). Waited 40 min for main meal, only 4 tables was occupied in the restaurant. The 2 ?chefs? didn?t seemed to be doing much and would have felt better if they used gloves when touching the food. Was watching them how they touch their clothes etc then touch the food. Waiters are non existent do cant comment on them?
Food was awful. Carbonara was killed with garlic, my son didn?t want to eat it. Calzone was killed with Pesto.
Overall experience was just awful and we will not return!!!

We have not visited this Pizza Express before but we felt the service was exceptionally good. There appeared to be just 3 staff members working but they handled the lunchtime rush really well and were all very friendly.

I used to live near here, and often got take out on the way home from work. Have eaten here regularly for many years. We now live in Florida and still visit every time we come home.
So that?s close to 30 years in total.
Food is always excellent and service to match.

The food was good but one of the waiters just loved to shout and had a really booming voice. It was totally unnecessary. asking for anything - SI, PREGGO! The guy was laying it on so thick and he could be heard from across the restaurant. He gave me a headache.
We had the dough balls and a side salad to share, then I ordered the vegan gardinara which was lovely. My partner had a pizza with chicken on.
I booked about an hour before visiting and I'm glad we did as it was really busy, lots of people were being turned away. It was a Wednesday evening at 7pm which surprised me, we thought it would be quiet.
So definitely visit, but take earplugs!
