Chineham pharmacy is excellent. The manager and staff all helpful and knowledgeable. They knew the exact treatment I needed. My own doctor misdiagnosed this on numerous occasions. ??? ?

Went to get a prescription on Easter Sunday, told they didn?t have it and they sent us to Reading to get it. Got to the other pharmacy in Reading and they informed us this one had messed up on the system and we had to call them to get it fixed. I phoned but was kept on hold for almost 2 hours. In the end I had to drive back to speak to the pharmacist. I could hear the phone still ringing and being ignored when I arrived. They then took no responsibility for the problems they had caused and for some unknown reason decided to usher me into a small room and inform me they had pissed their pants. I?m baffled as to how they think this appropriate to do under any circumstances!
They cost me a huge amount in time and petrol, never provided the medicine and managed to ruin our Easter. I will not be using this pharmacy ever again and wouldn?t recommend to anyone else.

An extremely unpleasant and unhelpful pharmacist. Tried the new self referral system for cystitis and he was almost mocking me when I tried to explain that my condition is a frequent one and I know my symptoms. In one sentence I used the word ?pain? instead of ?burning sensation? and he just latched onto it.

Had used this Pharmacy since we moved to Chineham more than 35 years ago when it was Night Owl. Over the last 2-3years the service deteriorated to such an appalling level that I transferred to Boots at Chineham, who are excellent. The final straw for me was when my husband went to collect my prescription ,which had taken ONE WEEK for them to fill, and was told to come back in a few minutes for it. When he returned the assistant told him I had just been in to collect it !! It turned out that they had given MY prescription to someone else but they didnt know who !!! I phoned the surgery to warn them that someone had my drugs and could be unaware. This was SO dangerous ! Dreadful place. Use it at your peril !!

After years of going to this Pharmacy, previously the Night Owl who were excellent, it beggars belief what Chineham are left with now. I?ve now taken the decision to go elsewhere for my prescriptions.The last straw was being told my doctor hadn?t sent prescription over. Personally visited surgery and receptionist raised her eyebrows when I repeated what I was told, heard it all before no doubt, half hour later pharmacy mysteriously found my prescription. The same day they also said they had requested repeat prescription for medication I was picking up for family member but surgery hadn?t sent through. Phoned that surgery and they said Lloyds definitely hadn?t ordered. Not the first time this has happened and over hearing other members of public in the shop, happens on a frequent basis. Also on a few occasions driven over to Chineham to see notice on door that they are closed, without notice.I won?t be going back.

As others have commented, prescriptions are never ready and they can never seem to locate on their system. On average, expect to spend around 30 minutes in here. Really poor service for people who rely on daily medications. They also seem unable to work in collaboration with Lloyd's Direct.
