Ellie does a great job on the front desk, where everyone else seems to be sitting around in the offices ignoring the queues or if there are issues to resolve.
My last visit included purchase of an item that was incomplete. Only realised when I got home. Took it back. Another ordered. Returned again, also incomplete, then they realised there was a stock issue. All the while Ellie was running around doing her best to resolve. When I made a complaint , the manager didn?t bother to acknowledge me and left it all to Ellie. In the end Ellie did get the issue resolved for me (thank you and the only reason not to give one star).
I?d say give Ellie a promotion and seriously look at the behaviours of others there as they are not visibly customer focused. How is that allowed to happen?

Extremely disappointing customer service and an unprofessional approach to business!

I recently purchased a car battery, providing the exact specifications required. Despite clearly showing the attendant the specific battery I needed, I was sold the incorrect one.
After my mechanic installed the battery, we discovered it was the wrong type?the car required 61 amps, but the battery provided was 77 amps. The car was never started or used.
On the same day, I returned to the store to request an exchange but was told returns couldn?t be processed on a Sunday and that I should come back during the week. This meant I had to purchase a second battery to resolve the issue, despite only needing one!
When I returned during the week, the same attendant who had sold me the incorrect battery insisted that a refund wasn?t possible because the battery had been fitted.
Selling me the wrong item in the first place has now left me out of pocket!
You have just lost a customer?I will never return to your store again.
This level of service is shocking, especially from a business that claims to have technical staff who understand customer needs.

Customer Service needs improvement.
After I gave the registration number, asking to have confirmed what engine I have.
The person at the desk was not able to tell me, turning the screen and letting me to check / make sure that the correct vehicle is selected (I do this because of previous experiences).
I asked for an engine oil filter from a specific manufacturer, air filter and a specific engine oil.
"Air filter should be the same manufacturer as the oil filter? "
Me : No! Please give me the cheapest one, I'm replacing it quite often.
The items was picked.
The oil was not the specific manufacturer that I asked.
The air filter was not the cheapest.
The oil filter was not what I'm usually buy.
The wrong oil - the front desk person didn't apologised to the picker for the mistake. Waisting workmates time.
The air filter - I let it go.
The engine oil filter - there a 2 types, from that specific manufacturer . You can find them on their website.
The front desk person didn't asked me which one I want.
When I received the items I realised that the oil filter is not what I usually buy.
Asking to double check it.
" this is the only one that the system gives for this vehicle "
I needed to go to my car, identifying the part number of the oil filter that I usually buy, going back and asking to double check / check for compatibility.
"This is the only one that the system shows for your vehicle "
I managed to get the item I wanted.
I left the store feeling guilty for the additional paperwork that came with this.
Dear euro car parts Basingstoke manager.
It is not your fault if in the bag, with the correct part number, the wrong part is in it.
It is not your fault that we request a vw Crafter mirror, waiting for it, and getting a mirror for ... knows for what small lorry.
I don't want to be treated like above mentioned. It is a kind of humiliating.
I want to be served by a competent person with a bit of technical knowledge, giving me the options / letting me to decide what I want.
I used often the stores in Aldershot, Farnborough, Gatwick, ....... but Basingstoke was the worst.

Poor customer service.. i had been waiting 20 mins to be served for a part that was ready to collect just off the self. There was only one taking orders while the others were seen leaving work 45 mins before store closure.. there were around 6-7 people along with me waiting to be served. Props to the guy on the till for serving customers while his co workers did nothing to help him.
