I recently opened a Barclays Premier account but encountered some difficulties accessing all of its features. After facing challenges with the contact centres, I visited the Basingstoke branch for assistance. I went into the Basingstoke branch to open a joint account with Apple. It was a quick and easy process and we were really happy.

Unfortunately the counter is closed on a Saturday. The opening hours are very limited. I tried to cash a cheque. It wouldn't scan well. The bank clerk asked is the sender could resend another cheque (would require paying postage again) or send a bank transfer. The sender shouldn't have to do any of this. The bank should open the counter on a Saturday to allow manual cashing of cheques and other banking requirements.
