Items always in stock online but never in stock on site.just purchased a bike and got an email saying i can collect today.10min later i receive a call saying they ve got one available on display which i cannot have...and they will have it available on Thursday,5 days later.This is the 3rd time this happens with Halfords..They never have it in stock.It takes time for it to arrive from China,after you pay for it.

I collected my new bike from Andover Halfords on 22nd August and was extremely disappointed with both the service and the quality of the bike setup.
The two staff members in the bike section were unprofessional and unhelpful. They openly joked about not knowing what they were doing, saying things like ?we don?t have the bloody scanner? and ?I don?t know what I?m doing?, rather than asking for help from a supervisor. When handing over the bike, one even admitted she didn?t know how to straighten the handlebars, which immediately left me concerned about the quality of the assembly.
There was no handover process, no safety checks, and no explanation of the bike?s features or setup - I was simply handed a handbook and sent on my way.
Once outside the store, the problems became clear:
The front wheel was loose and misaligned,
The brakes were fitted incorrectly and made a terrible noise, and
The chain came off during a short test ride.
I have since had to take the bike to an independent specialist and pay extra to have it assembled and adjusted properly - something I should never have had to do when buying a new bike from a company that claims to be a specialist.
This whole experience has been incredibly disappointing. I expected far better from Halfords, both in customer service and bike safety standards. I have also raised a formal complaint with them regarding this matter so other people do not have to experience the same issues.

Tried four times over the past 2-weeks to buy a bike but in each occasion, the bike part of the shop was closed off. No reason for closure given by staff when questioned. Will be buying elsewhere!

Friendly helpful staff who do a good job. Not able to do as much as a garage would but helpful if you need minor checks, fittings and to buy relevant paraphernalia.

Ordered a part from Halfords and was sent the wrong item. When I contacted them, they outright refused to exchange it simply because the package was opened ? how else would anyone verify it?s incorrect? Their so-called customer service is non-existent; no support, no accountability, just stonewalling. It feels like a complete scam. Will never buy from Halfords again, and I?d strongly advise others to stay away

On our first visit, we were served by a very young man - he was polite and professional - I would give him 5 stars. I ordered two bikes from Halfords in part, due to his efficiency and great customer service.
Today for the collection of the two bikes, the service from a lady serving was the complete opposite - rude, inefficient and unprofessional.
If I had encountered her on the first visit, I would?ve bought the bikes elsewhere.

Ordered on line for £24.99 used a £5 off members discount bringing it to£19.99 .
Waited for a message to say it was ready to pick up. No message or text .
Thought I'd take a chance and pop in, saw item on shelf for £19.99 .
Asked if my order was in store,yes it had been sat in cupboard. How long would it of sat there.
