Very disappointed with this place. I booked a room in August 2023 but mistakenly booked for the next weekend. I showed up to Dover Restover (a week before my booking) and the lady there was kind but explained that I had booked the wrong weekend and didn?t have a room for me. No problem, my mistake. She told me she couldn?t refund me then and to go online. The next day I went online, as instructed, to request a refund and received a message back that no refund could be given since they have an 8 day ahead cancellation policy and I was trying to cancel 7 days ahead. I therefore ended up having to pay full price for a room I didn?t use that was most likely rented to someone else. I pleaded with the owner and he basically told me there nothing he could do. This is scam-like behavior. I completely understand needing cancellation policies but not being at all flexible given my situation and was pretty cruel. Be careful of renting here.

Had a lovely stay at Dover's Restover, which I was nervous about given some of the reviews here. Yes, this is a bed and breakfast, so don't expect an elevator bank or scores of rooms. With one other person, we had a quaint room on the 3rd floor. No AC, but it's fall and wasn't a problem with a fan going. Breakfast was great, and a bargain, and I like that it's separate from the room rate - not everyone wants a British breakfast daily. Our hosts were fantastic and helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Good accommodation for 2 nights. Absolutely warm and great operators. Rooms are small but have everything you need. Very clean. Breakfast excellent.Anytime again and highly recommended. Quiet.Rooms: Large bed with a good mattress and even lip protection.Although cramped, it has everything you need.Very neat and clean.Nearby activities: E.g. the city, the harbor, the beach, Dover Castle,Safety: We felt comfortable and safe everywhere.Walkability: A few minutes walk to the city and the castle.Food & drinks: Breakfast excellent.Great place in town.

Did not let me in with my little toddler , I had to sleep in my car all the night .Did not even return the money . Avoid such places

Made a $183 mistake. Thought I was booking for the Dover in Canada, realized immediately and sent them a message not even five minutes after. I saw that it wasn't refundable when making the booking, but thought that maybe there would be a chance for some leniency as it hadn't even been an hour. Called three times, four hours apart, but was hung up on, not even sent to voicemail. Received a response saying that there could not be an exception. My mistake, and I should have double checked before booking, but disappointed with the customer service, as the message was a generic automated response. I doubt that in the two hours in-between my booking and responding to my request to cancel, that the loss of business was proportional to the entire fee for the stay. Will undoubtedly regret this for the next few months. Make sure everything is 100% certain when you book because I received no help or customer service.

Gets what you pay for. It?s an economic option, so don?t expect the Ritz. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine but not included in the room rate - it?s an extra tenner. Stairs are very narrow and very steep, as are the entrance steps. Clean, tidy, but rather dated. But it?s fine - does what it says on the tin. At the end of the day, it?s an old style budget guest house in a seaside port that?s going through a slow regeneration - and there?s lots of competition, so not all of these places will survive the current cost of living crisis.

Spent 3 nights here in September. Jan and George were very welcoming and made us feel at home - we enjoyed chatting with them. Close to the train station and in easy walking distance of all the fun things in Dover. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was very nice. Would definitely stay here again next time we're in Dover.

The host was amazing and was welcoming to both me and my husband.Gave us lots of information of places to go and eat . The property was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was really good.(couldnt get up after what I had eaten)

A lovely warm greeting by Jan. A very comfy, quiet room. Car parked off the road. A wonderful 'all you can eat' cooked breakfast by George. Considering some of the breakfasts we'd had on our travels, this was by far the best in quality, amount and price!! A great location for Dover's amenities. 5 mins from the port. We would DEFINITELY stay there again! Full marks for customer service too! Thank you!

The owners are so nice and smiley and welcoming!!! I couldn't give a 5 stars just because of the heating. It was really cold when we get there, it was late afternoon, and unfortunately because of the central heating, they couldn't "switch on" at the time we needed. A part from that, our weekend was lovely. And the breakfast was great, with chats about the place, and tips on what to do and must see. We loved them.
