Our first time today, reserved a table, nice pub, busy with families and football fans which was fine. A bit disappointed at almost an hour wait for food which we weren't told on ordering. Also it's Sunday. so 3 of our 4 ordered the roast, we were OK with chicken in place of turkey, but weren't advised on ordering that there no roast potatoes...mashed in place. My grandson, whose favourite part of roast is the potatoes was most disappointmed he might have made a difference choice if we'd been advised. I guess it was busy but surely they must know how potatoes to order!

Bit of a chain pub but nice decor and ambiance. Good range of drinks and good service. Lots of people eating and with a large area reserved it makes it less easy for drinkers. But I would definitely go back.

Every second item we ordered we were told was unavailable as a Green King company I can?t believe that the food stocks were so bad that they didn?t even have a single Steak available!!

Late Christmas meal with a friend, an unfortunate mix up with our booked meal but we were given a full refund without even asking. Fantastic service!

christmas lunch for 3 at 12 45. The food two courses was excellent , turkey dinner spot on and very nice Xmas Pud with custard. Service was prompt and friendly but not rushed so we spent a very pleasant 2 hours with coffee to finish, the table decorations gave it that extra touch. 12 99 a very reasonable price

I was frantically ringing around trying to find somewhere to have a wake for my mum. (only a couple of days before the funeral) I rang the Anton Arms and they said "yes sure we'll set a side a room for you", which was great, I originally said about 14 people but it ended up being about 25 people. The staff were brilliant, we had drinks, sharing platters, cheesy chips, nachos etc, also a few people had pie and chips. Came to under £250. Thankyou so much to the staff for taking the stress out of my day.
Parking: Lovely big car park.
Kid-friendliness: We only had 3 under 16's but everything was relaxed.

Today on the 19th of November 2024 a group of 14 pensioners began the festive season with a very enjoyable Christmas lunch - the food was superb, Clare the manager and the staff were kind, attentive and helpful to a bunch of old fogies.
It is all that which makes the atmosphere at the Anton so special and it is certainly worth driving out specially from Winchester to enjoy it. We'll be back!
