I went into Wicks in Alton on Friday 25th July 2025 & all staff were very friendly especially Jon who was extremely helpful with a tap I wanted that had been discontinued but Guildford had 2 & Peter went out of his way to get the tap for me. John did the transaction for me as it had to be done in a certain way but big thanks to Jon who was just fabulous & went above & beyond. Thank you guys. ?

Bought three large bags of compost there and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The assistant pointed out some slightly split bags and offered them to me at half price then loaded them into my car having first laid some black plastic in my boot to protect it from any spills. Amazing customer service!

Purchased two bathrooms units from Wickes that arrived destroyed. Online states to return it to the nearest store, in-store manager doesn't want the responsibility so I have to take it back home and wait for a call that I don't receive. After emailing and calling I get a replacement but it's only one of the damaged units, now I have to do the whole process again. It's almost been a month since my initial order, I would not advice buying from Wickes especially online and I would stay away from the Alton branch as they are as useful as a bag of potatoes. Buy from another retailer. The worst item I have literally ever received.
I will not shop with Wickes again !!

Paid substantial amount of money for a kitchen with Wickes and the service and experience is shocking. Wrong items delivered, damaged items delivered, and even items in the wrong packaging. 3 week kitchen project has taken over 9-10 weeks because of constant delays, damage, and mistakes on Wickes part. I?d be hard pressed to buy nails from Wickes in the future. I?ve 1/2 filled a skip with waste (incorrect/damaged items) they have told me I?m responsible of disposing.
