A bit like a lot of other people have said, man on till got grumpy when mum and I couldn?t pay by cash for our drinks. Wasn?t very welcoming ether - grumpy looking, not very enthusiastic or smiley -. Cafe was very empty - only 2 other customers -.
Atmosphere very bleak and limited food options. Gave 3stars for cleanliness and the taste of drinks were fine

The bacon was nice, and thick cut. I would prefer to spread my own butter as placement was very sparce. Service was professional but a little bit cold and almost unwelcoming.

A fine and spotlessly clean café in the centre of Alton with home-made food. Good breakfast and sandwich options, although the cakes and pastry selection was limited the afternoon we visited.

Go there if you want a simple unpretentious breakfast. As a tourist it is hard to know where to go. I don?t actually eat like this at home. But I do require a good coffee. Out of the three days in Alton this is the best breakfast and coffee I?ve had. Why do the English not know what a piccolo is. However this coffee was not bitter.

We stopped here on our first trip to Alton. The whole place was spotless and beautifully fitted out and reminiscent of coffee shops I?ve visited in Italy. The staff were very professional and wearing smart clothing. We had a coffee and a fruit tea and both were of a high quality. We will definitely return on our next trip to Alton.

My partner and I have recently moved to the area and wanted to find a nice Cafe/ restaurant we could go to together on our days off if we fancied a wonder in town.
Safe to say we found a perfect place, the food is fantastic and very reasonably priced, all the staff are also very friendly and welcoming.
Compliments to the waiter who served us and to the chef who made our delicious lunch. Highly recommend.

Rather grumpy staff, man behind the counter was rather rude but didn't seem to care. English breakfast was bog standard, cheapy-cheap stuff, not worth it. Mocha was overly sweet and rather sickly, cappuccino was too weak and not tasty. Sorry to say this felt like a waste of money.
