Had an awful experience with Coomers, which is a shame as I?d always thought them to be a decent, ethical family run business.Their driver came to deliver a load of building materials. He refused to reverse into my drive, like every other delivery driver has done, and was rude and borderline aggressive. He then went on to strike my tree repeatedly, to the point you could hear it audibly cracking. A few weeks later BAM. I lost two substantial branches from a healthy tree. They wiped out 2 cars, including my beloved classic BMW Z3, which was written off. It cost me £300 to clear the debris and when I called to speak to someone and explained the situation, I said I would have to contact my insurance company and was scoffed at ?yeah, good luck with that!? I have a recording of that conversation.Coomers have since denied even being on site! Absolute appalling behaviour from a local business. Not only was I significantly out of pocket, but the Z3 was my pride and joy and I genuinely grieved when it was hauled off. I will never forgive Coomers for this. Ever. And I certainly would never use them again. Their blatant obtuse behaviour and lack of customer care has cemented that decision and I?m happy to recommend others not to bother with them either. You can always gauge a company from how they respond when things go wrong. In this instance, I?m grated that I?ve had to give them one star when they deserve none!

We have been using Coomers of Alton since they arrived, we have had exemplary service both in store and the yard. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. Retail friendly is one of the reasons we like them, we can send any of our clients in to see products and view prices and know that the wonderful team will look after them. As a business they very transparent in what is available and what prices are and why. Delivery service is very good, having a landscaping business this very important for timings so i thank them for that it's very important.Thank you allChristian and Lynn

Popped in for 2 bags of postcrete and wish I'd gone elsewhere! 70% more expensive than B&Q. Seventy percent!!!!!!I like to support local businesses but not when they rip you off.

Nigel was extremely helpful in the timber yard. Cut the battens and ply expertly, so everything fitted my car with minimal waste. I really appreciated his help. The only criticism was that the 6mm ply sheet began to delaminate as I trimmed it at home. Had to stop the job and reglue the sheets. That really shouldn't happen.

Just had the misfortune to encounter a Ccoomers employee in Wellington avenue bordon , totally blocking road delivering stuff . When challenged replied in a very aggressive manner " tell you what I will take even longer if you like ! " nice man . Not great for your business.

Well laid out store. Very friendly and helpful staff who (refreshingly) know their stuff and don't try to rip you off. Delivered Hippo bags of patio sand, cement grout etc when they said they would and to an easily accessible spot for me to work. Parking on site, Good range of products and always available. Easy returns policy too (over ordered a tub of easy grout). Very happy with the service I've received from the new Alton branch.
