Food looked delicious but made the mistake of asking for a roast on a Sunday evening which wasn't fresh or the best quality, however I didn't complain so I'm not sure how that would've gone. Tip, go for the freshly cooked menu especially on a Sunday evening as like I said the other food we saw coming out looked and smelled delicious. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Atmosphere was relaxed and the garden and play area was really good, definitely great for families. All in all a lovely pub.

Service was a little on the slow side & prices were on the higher side. Although prices might be quite normal, as I haven't eaten out in a while. The staff were friendly & helpful.

Following a visit to Goodwood Festival of Speed we were looking for somewhere to stop for food on our way home. We saw the Hinton Arms and it's stunning floral display and pulled in. It was a Saturday evening and we found a lovely spot in the garden surrounded by beautiful flowers. The service was friendly, and efficient. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and the whole atmosphere. We loved it! I'm just sad that we are 2 hours away, will definitely call again if we're passing.

I was riding my motorcycle. It was a very hot day and I had ridden a hundred miles from the Devon border and was overheating and exhausted. But it was 10.00am and The Hinton Arms weren't open. There were four staff having a meeting and without hesitation they made me welcome, offered me a coffee and allowed me to sit at a table in the shade. My wife and I have often stopped at this lovely little pub for lunch on the way down to Dorset. The welcome, service and food has always been spot on. But what these lovely people did for me today puts them right at the top of my best ever places to stop.
Thank you to the four of you who took pity on a weary traveller.

Lovely pub,
Beautiful outside. They were advertising for staff so just a short delay for our lunch.
Will return.

Fantastic pub and restaurant. You can see it on everyone's face as their plate of food is put down, pure amazement at the quality and quantity. Also close to great walks. Highly recommended

The starters of squid and scallops were amazing. The mains - I had the chicken burger only fault was it would?ve been better if the chicken wasn?t crumbed as the size of the plate made it impossible to finish. My husband had the calves liver which was lovely although would?ve been amazing if the membranes had been removed and they left out half of the garlic in the mashed potatoes. He said it was garlic mash with a little bit of potato! Apart from that, brilliant little pub if you?re visiting the Hinton Ampney next door well worth a visit for lunch.

After a walk through Hinton Ampner gardens we booked for a first visit to the Hinton Arms for lunch. Good job we did, the place was very busy which is always a good sign of good food. The food was first class and the waiting staff were very friendly and efficient. This is definitely my new ?best? pub to visit.
