Fantastic pub, very dog friendly and the best pint of Guinness for miles and miles. Good choice of snacks. This is what pubs should be.

Relaxing atmosphere, sunny beer garden, interesting outside shelters and great beer. Plus the show the football and rugby. Food is limited to snacks but you can take in your own.

A hidden gem near to Billinge this pub is a true traditional alehouse. Always a great selection of cask ales being served and the legendary Birchalls pies offered on a Friday. The pub is unspoilt with rugby league memorabilia adorning the walls. The outside area is vast with picturesque views across the fields.The staff are a very friendly and welcoming bunch and the prices reasonable. This pub is dog friendly, walkers and cyclists often call in for refreshments.Overall this pub is well worth a visit 10/10
