Black Diamond Fireplaces Wigan, well we visited this shop 3 to 4 times asking questions and trying to find the right fire for our home.the staff are very helpful i mean really helpful we picked the fire which was a burly today 15th March at 9am the guys came to fit the new fire, they did an amazing job really good nice and clean no mess no damage they explained everything to me and the wife. the heat this fire gives off is brilliant we would definitely recommend these people. Big thanks to black diamond and Mark & Chris for the installation

I can?t thank Darren, Mark and Chris enough. Top class service from start to finish, we hit a few bumps during the fitting and had to change our burner but we were well looked after. I can?t recommend the team enough.

Delighted with black diamond an established company who have been selling fires and related products very nowledgable and friendly.Darren and the team keep you well informed of the process. My mum chose a complete fire with surround and harth it was fitted by a registered gas fitter that you pay seperately, for the fit he also was very professional they deserve this mention as you will be more than happy with there service

I can only say that I have gone through the worst customer experience I have ever experienced. Having paid for the fire with a promise of 3 weeks delivery, 6 weeks later still no signs, and more disappointing, no communication from Black Diamond, following numerous calls, I finally managed to get one of them to speak to me and then finally a delivery date was set. On fitment date, the arranged fitter (Lee, who was excellent and I would recommend) opened the box, only to find that they had sent the wrong one. Following up on the first call, I was accused of ordering the wrong size and the new one (plus delivery would be more expensive)!! This was only sorted following numerous calls with photographs and measurements - Again no hint of an apology. The resulting weeks ended up with daily calls from myself to get an update - Nothing coming my way without a prompt. Anyway, the fire has been fitted today (By Lee, who is excellent). My advice to anyone wishing to purchase a new fire is DO NOT go to Black Diamond

From going into the showroom and talking to Darren and Margaret they talked us through the log burning stove which would suit us best they've got live log burners on show so you know exactly what they are like so helpful explaining everything Mark and Chris came to fit the log burner so professional really good at their job would not hesitate to recommend black diamond

Visited Black Diamond, and Darren was very helpful to talk through what ideas we had and share his thoughts also. No pushy sales. Darren wanted to make sure we were happy with what we were purchasing.Ordered a log burner with hearth, inglebeam, and brick surround.Fitters Mark & Chris did a great job installing the fire and were as clean as can be. Both are also helpful and explain things with a demonstration once finished.I am very pleased with my purchase, and the fire is lovely and warm ?Would recomend to purchase from Black Diamond. Great showroom and very knowledgeable owner.

I've been visiting here for years, planning our purchase and then agreeing the details with my beloved gentleman partner. Fabulous ideas, interesting production facilities, lots of knowledge and experience to benefit from and skilled staff from a great local company. Displays of combinations of choices are great for clarifying what you like and can afford, taking into account environmental impact! Today, Sam was helping my Mum visualise the plans whilst helping with the dusting!!

Just bought two wood burners from Black Diamond and had them fitted by Mark& Chris. My house is 16th century and therefore quite quirky. One fire was fairly standard to fit but the other one required quite a bit of care and imagination. These guys did a great job and were very professional in their work. Top class.

Everyone at black diamond has been brilliant, from what was a daunting experience it became a dream come true. Darren knows everything to do with fireplaces and was very professional. Mark and Chris our fitters were nothing short of exceptional. Couldn?t have asked for a more perfect fireplace. Thank you all.

Absolutely love my fire. Such a good job done by the lads excellent service from start to finish. They couldn?t have done enough form Darren with all his wonderful help and knowledge in the showroom! Then to Mark and Chris with the installation and fitting of the fire. Thank you all so much will definitely be recommending to family and friends ?

Would strongly advise against buying from this company!!! Stove ordered 8th May. Constant delays, varying excuses. Fitting agreed on 2 separate occasions - Stove had not arrived, despite Darren phoning to ask for remaining payment as all items had arrived to him. Fitting cost increased from £1180.00 to £1810.00, we were kindly informed by text the night before the stove was due to be installed. Site survey carried out early May by fitter. Darren arranged fitting - he is now saying fitting is nothing to do with him. Stove eventually fitted why we were on holiday 1st September - came home to damage of newly plastered walls. Our biggest issue was that we had not received certification, we have made numerous calls and sent texts to the fitter to no avail. I spoke to Darren again last week re certification he said he would get back to me........still waiting. Yesterday we decided to go down the recorded delivery letter route as suggested by Trading Standards. Margaret rang today to say she would pay for plastering, (I forgot to mention she came to look at it 2 weeks ago) but was taking no responsibly for the fitting?? Extremely confused as it was the fitter that made the mess. She shouted at me saying I should be contacting Hetas not threatening her. I made no threats. - I had no idea who Hetas was. Thank goodness for google, this is who the fitter registers the installation with - this has not been done. So we are almost £5k out of pocket with a stove that has been installed without certification. Margaret says she knows the law and will deal with Trading Standards.....

Do not use their fitter! Unreliable. Unreachable. Does not reply to phonecalls or texts. Doesn't show up as planned not once but 4 times!
Darren in the shop was so helpful when we went to order. Really pleasant guy and very knowledgeable, has all the time in the world for you.
I rang the shop as yet again fitter didn't show up and he isn't answering the phone or texts. I was told I'd get a phone call back. After over an hour I drove to the shop. "I was going to ring you when I got to you" by Margaret who was filling in more orders. Simply not good enough. I'm a customer whom you have taken money from and I'd expect some kind of customer service. "The fitter has his own diary he doesn't work for us. You will have to speak to him." How do I do that then? he doesn't answer any calls.
Fitter then after 2 days , txts and states he will do the job for more money than originally quoted! Absolute joke.
Poor customer service!
WOULD NOT RECCOMEND! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!
