Food very good. Lovely pub. Service from female owner/manager(I think) was a 5* let down by younger staff male and female who were more interested in customers dogs. Would come back but use restaurant.

Fantastic pub and restaurant that serves great traditional bar meals, or has the option of a more formal resteraunt. Great choice of beers with cask ales on the pumps, huge beer garden, huge car park, and all topped off by the very friendly and efficient staff.

Website says open til 10:30pm (Tue 1st July 2025) so walked round from hotel after a long drive at 9:30pm just as they were locking up for an early night. Don't advertise opening hours if you don't use them.

My new favourite pub! It was my first visit last night . The meal was absolutely delicious. I chose the Homemade Cheese Pie. It was so fresh and tasty and the cheesecake? oh my word! Divine ???? really pleasant staff too.

Booked a table the day before for 4 people and a dog for my daughters birthday, the girl on reception asked if no one has spoken to us about the fact we would have to go outside, i said no so she said she would get the manager. A lady Who i presume is the manager said they don't allow dogs inside at the weekend and someone should have called us to let us know we would have to eat outside. This was the beginning of March none of us had jackets and there are no heaters outside, how they think it us acceptable to ask anyone to eat outside on a cold March night is beyond me. What made it worse is the young girl on reception was obviously aware that we were expected and that no one had called us so why didn't they call us as soon as they realised instead if waiting till we turned up, if they'd let us know even a couple of hours earlier we may have been able to book elsewhere, instead we had to go home and order takeaway so the birthdaywas ruined. The menu on the website has a picture of a dog and they claim to be dog friendly, they should put it on the website that this is not the case at weekends.
Not happy that my daughters birthday was spoiled through no fault of ours, there was no real apology, just feeble excuses and told "why don't you leave your dog in the car" which is fantastic customer service.
Will not go back.

We came as a family of 4 tonight on the off chance of getting in. We did and can honestly say it was absolutely beautiful home cooked food. We will definitely be back thanks again x
