I would not recommend coming here for servicing your vehicle.
Firstly, i?d like to address the lack of clarification when pricing jobs, my wiper replacement should have cost £17 however I paid £24 as I was told by the adviser that it was an error on the system but I was not told of this error until I went to collect my car and the wiper had already been replaced.
This is the first time I was put in an awkward situation where the work had already been carried out on the basis of being quoted the original cheaper price of £17 but was charged higher, which highlights a significant issue of not honouring the price on approving work to be carried out.
I would have refused to carry this work out if I were to be informed of the correct price prior to approving the replacement of the wiper because there was a 40% discrepancy in the price and could have got it cheaper elsewhere but I did not have time to argue as I was collecting the car during my lunch break and the work had already been done.
The second issue was where I had brought my car in for a puncture repair. However, as AA attempted to do a puncture repair and failed, I was advised on the phone by Maria, the service advisor that another puncture repair could not be carried out and was told a tyre replacement would be required, which would cost £130. As I had a medical appointment that same day, I had advised I need my car back asap and had gone ahead with the replacement of the tyre. The issue was I was never informed what tyre would be fitted for the price I was quoted.
All my tyres are the same which are Bridgestone Turanza T005 (195/60 R15 88V) and as I was not informed that any other tyre would be fitted nor was I offered any other options, I had assumed the price quoted was for the same tyre I already had on the vehicle as the cost of the same tyre in Halfords is £120.99, which was where I would have purchased and fitted the replacement tyre if I didn?t purchase and fitted the new tyre at your dealership. However, as I did not have time to spare and the car was already in, I proceeded with the purchase on the phone, had paid via Bumper and was told my vehicle will be ready in time for my appointment. I collected the vehicle and went straight to my appointment so did not occur to me to check the new tyre as I had trusted the fact that I had purchased a tyre from the main dealership so there should be no issues. It was only the next day when I went to fuel up that I had realised I had a NEXEN tyre fitted and the tyre wasn?t even correctly inflated as it was only inflated upto 25 psi so I had to inflate it aswell. Clearly it had been rushed but my biggest issue was that I was not informed that a NEXEN tyre would be fitted and when I had rang up to inform the service advisor, Maria, she had attempted to place the blame on me by saying I had not specified what tyre I wanted fitted and I should have known by the price that was quoted. I was never provided an invoice or anything in writing about the tyre I was purchasing nor was I given any information on the tyre that I was quoted for so I had no indication that the tyre would be any different to what I already had on my vehicle. This is a clear breach of consumer rights law & tyre labelling regulations as I was not shown nor was I informed about the tyre that I was purchasing. This is unfair consumer trading as I was misled into purchasing a tyre that I had no knowledge of and my ability to make an informed decision on purchasing the tyre was affected as you had withheld crucial information that did affect my purchase as I would not have authorised the fitting nor proceeded to purchase the tyre if I was informed that it was a different tyre to what I already had on my car.

Bought a used Ford Focus in 9th June 2025. I travelled from Edinburgh to Manchester by train after receiving a personal video stating the car was in excellent condition to pay and collect the car. The Salesperson did not show me the car prior to payment as he said it was getting valeted. After payment he asked me to do a google review and mention his name stating he should get a pay rise. I was then taken to the car I asked if he would show me anything I needed to know he said it?s all pretty standard and handed the keys. Upon driving out the garage the car displayed showed I had 3 miles of fuel left so desperately needed to find a garage. When I got back to Edinburgh I immediately sent an email with photos showing two small dents in the roof and a large bubbling of the inside of the front door panel. The Salesperson took months trying to get other branches in Edinburgh to fix this and failed asking me to take it to a Coachworks in Edinburgh to get the car assessed and an estimate, which I did and he then said it the cost was too much and asked me to drive the car to Manchester for them to fix it, which I refused. He then stated the faults occurred after he sold it, I then escalated to the Sales Manager. He promised to get it fixed in Scotland and promised their Coachwork people would phone me to bring the car in. They didn?t and I said I?m escalating to their CEO and I had a full audit trail of multiple emails and phone calls. He then agreed that I would put it into the Coachworks they had originally asked me to get the estimate and that I should pay for it and they would then pay me directly into my bank account. I did this and asked for the money to be paid which needed further 2 weeks of chasing as the Sales Manager was on holiday and the original Salesperson did not even respond to my emails. On 22nd August 2025, I got a Sales Executive who asked me to email him directly with the email chain and would take personal responsibility to get it paid, I was paid the money same day - so thank you Tahir Afzal you did what you said you would do. Unfortunately the experience has shown their are some real gaps in professionalism with some of the Sales People at Evan?s Halshaw and you might be lucky and get Tahir but equally you could get a very poor unprofessional service from others, it?s a lucky dip what level of service you will get.

We bought a car from Evans Halshaws everyone was helpful our sales rep was Jacob he was polite, friendly, patient and an exceptional sales rep he was so good he managed to sell our family member a package too who wasn't ment to be buying anything Jacob u deserve a raise haha will definitely recommend
