I always get very good treatment and service at Poynton Post Office. The queue can be quite long but that must be a good sign that?s it?s being well used!

Most unhelpful and quite rude. Went to Bramhall PO today, who were brilliant. Won't be using Poynton PO again

Tried to raise the issue of the counter near the door not accepting cash to purchase stamps but insisting on card only.Had been asked to raise this by a disgruntled Poynton resident as I have been involved in dealing with this issue for some time, been on TV and radio etc.
I was met by total rudeness and refusal to discuss or give me the regional manager's name and contact details.
To be honest I was shocked how hostile the manager was to me.
Reading reviews I seem not to be alone in my perceptions.

I?ve recently walked out of there after being spoken to in what I consider to be a very rude manner and I will NOT be going there again. I thought I was a customer not an inconvenience! It must?ve been bad because I had queued and didn?t get any transactions completed!!

Rude, inconsistent and inconsiderate staff.
I went in today to collect two Evri parcels of second hand books we?d bought from Vinted, something I?ve done countless times in recent months. I had my two-year-old with me so I was hoping it would be quick and painless.
The man behind the screen at the bureau desk called me forward and proceeded to ask for ID repeatedly despite me telling him I didn?t have it on me, and I?d never needed it for a collection before. He had me fill out a small form for the two collections, again something I?d never done before, and then asked me again for ID. I opened the email and showed him where it says you can collect using the QR code *or* ID, and he said ?thank you for telling me how to do my job?, a completely unnecessary and antagonistic comment at a point where I was already stressed at having to jump through his hoops *and* keep an eye on my daughter. And especially considering how he ended up handing me my books without seeing ID, like he should have in the first place.
I would suggest that if he doesn?t want to be told how to do his job, he should learn how to do it better in the first place, and the staff there should stick to the correct protocol. Considering this post office has notorious form for rude and incompetent customer service, it really does leave you wondering why the current management are still there.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at the post office recently. I arrived just before closing time, urgently needing to post a letter. Upon entering, I asked a staff member if I could still post my letter. She informed me that I needed to buy an envelope from the shop and come back.
After quickly purchasing the envelope and returning, I was informed by another staff member that they were now closed and could no longer assist me. Despite my pleas that it would only take a moment, he refused to help and told me to come back the next day. This inconsistency and lack of clear communication were extremely frustrating. They should have told me upfront that they were closing soon and wouldn't be able to help, instead of sending me out to buy an envelope only to turn me away upon my return.
This experience highlighted a serious deficiency in their customer service. Clear communication and a willingness to assist customers, even close to closing time, are essential for any service-oriented business. Unfortunately, this post office failed on both counts, leaving me very disappointed.

Today the queue was out of the door when I went to do a return. There are several desks and only one person in. When I asked if another could open I was told ?they are in a lunch break?. Surely the said break could not be at the busiest time. Also I have been to collect parcels and have to hand write the numbers from the QR code on a piece of paper. This doesn?t happen when collecting elsewhere such as Argos in Sainsburys Hazel Grove. Went to PO in Asda Hazel Grove and did a quick return even though it was still ?lunch time?. Never going back to Poynton.

Nice post office and quick service. Negative reviews moaning about queuing clearly don?t understand that?s a normal thing.. wake up & check your privilege.

Always rude and unhelpful staff whether you go inside or try to call. Zero idea of the meaning of 'customer service'. Always huge queues whatever the day or time, 12 months of the year. Avoid this place unless you're happy to be treated badly as a paying Customer.

Just about the rudest customer service I?ve ever had from the man that works there

If you only send the odd parcel you may not know the cheapest price to pay for signed for delivery, you would think they would help you ?, but no they offer you the dearest price, seen it happen a lot when waiting in the que, which for me is just wrong, especially with the elderly. Won't be using them again.
