Same as any other WH Smith general stationary store catering for all needs with birthday cards and other occasions, stamps, newspapers and a wide variety of books,

On entering, I was utterly amazed by the look of the store.Sadly not by the lovely interior, but by the way the store hasn't changed since I last entered it over 25yrs ago.It was a shabby, run down forgotten kind of store even back then.

I went to Smith's as I had left it till the last minute to buy two birthday cards. I was shocked at the price, six fifty for the two. The cards were nice but pricy. I was confused as to where the entrance was as on the map is in the same bit as the post office, but it is on the main frontage. All was ok, but nothing special and I found the experience confusing, cluttered and no real semblance of order.

A decent WHSmith store in Stockport town centre, part of the "outdoor" area of Merseyway, the store is the typical old-fashioned (with the old, dying carpet) type WHSmith location, but the store is still a decent size with some good items. Prices are a little high, which seems to be common with the WHSmith brand anyway. They were advertising a Clearance Range in-store, but this isn't worth the trip for as there wasn't much of interest. The staff seemed fine. 3* - Decent store, although I prefer the WHSmith locations in Manchester city centre.

The dregs. Not nice. There was actually a sale going on inside but the staff hadn't been bothered to put up the advertising. We were rudely greeted and then ignored.

I enjoy visiting W H SMITH in Stockport the staff are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble . I you have a query they will find out or come over to the section you are asking about. I buy all my magazine's and newspapers when I am in Stockport. I look forward to the store being there for many more years.

Stockport, very surprised at the amount of good shops. Large multi storey car park cheap .went to Trafford centre to shop did not find anything, went Stockport and found all I needed.

Staff were friendly and the queue was short even a week before Christmas. Some really nice products but very expensive in my opinion. Couldn't really find what I was looking for.
