Booked lunch for Mother?s Day what can I say absolutely beautiful greeted by friendly smiley staff, nothing was too much effort everyone getting along general manager floating around and I must say what a lovely lady she was and obviously respected by her staff team work doings to mind.
The pub had a lovely family atmosphere and the food was absolutely lush 3 of us had a roast I had beef it was sooo nice real home cooked food knocked spots off any carvery my dad had gammon steak and wow a steak it really was. Genuinely could not fault the place. Will definitely return and 100% recommend. Well done to management front of house and kitchen staff thank you for a lovely experience. See you soon ???

Lovely pub with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff very friendly and the bar had a great selection of drinks as you would expect from a J W Lees pub. Food was reasonably priced and served hot and fresh. Been twice now and both times been really impressed so highly recommend. The fish and chips and the Philly steak sandwich are both great meals I world suggest to try

Lovely pub and very busy, had funeral party in for food and drinks but only one person serving behind the bar, so long wait to order anything. Great menu but didnt order anything due to wait at the bar.

Family Meal - Just perfect place
I took my family here since they were visiting. The seating area was beautiful, the service was brilliant, drinks were great. The food was delicious and there were so many great options to choose from.
My family were really chuffed! Could not recommend enough!

Stood at bar trying to order well before the last bell but a large group in front. Refused service by a server called Saskia as apparently it was past last orders and all the barrels were empty. Hopefully they have a delivery tomorrow with it being Christmas Eve! However a group of 20+ were more than welcome to order. Bad service and bad attitude much better when dean was here as manager. This place is going downhill. Been drinking here for 20+ years never seen it so bad. Also strange to see members of staff vaping at front door.
