On the phone I asked a simple question. I now have an Edge credit card. I want to know when each month this money will be paid off from my Edge current account. After a long wait no answer could be given by the person I spoke to. Very disappointing service.

I would like to take a moment to thank the team at Santander Bank, Stockport branch, for their excellent customer service.
A special mention goes to Mr. Rayan Abell, who handled my query with exceptional professionalism and care. He not only resolved my issue efficiently but also followed up thoroughly, ensuring everything was handled smoothly from start to finish. His approach showed a complete 360° view of customer service ? attentive, proactive, and solution-focused.
It?s rare to receive such dedicated and courteous support, and I truly felt valued as a customer.

Shocking! My elderly Mum was scammed several times! Very little support from staff at Stockport. In face they were very obstructive and behaved as though my mums account was their money. No empathy Yjey kept insisting my Mum attend the branch. She has poor mobility and is deaf! After several weeks and many frustrating lengthy ? on hold? telephone calls we will close the account and go elsewhere! Not that these unsympathetic staff will mind- they are usually on their own locks to close their doors at 3 pm even with elderly people trying the door, they me maw ? we?re closed?. Shocking customer service!

I have been into the Stockport branch of Santander twice recently to ask for advice with my bank accounts. On both occasions I was dealt with by Ryan , he was extremely helpful and understanding . He sorted the problems out quickly and very efficiently.

Absolutely awful to deal with.would not let me transfer money, after twice it blocked me so I had to phone. I told them what had happened : Transferring money, ?what did I need it for?? Pardon? I told him. Why did the payee want new windows!, It was only £2000! I gave them my dob, name, phone no, they rang me back on, last payment £, when was it paid?. Enough, I said sorry I will have to see about closing these accounts I can?t do this every time, the stress.

Terrible bank. Use Hallifax, TSB or any other bank you can. Santander are going bust and their customer service and telephone manner show it!!
