Please could someone ring me or answer my email enquiry about the recent Afternoon tea we had which was so disappointing for Mother's day. The phone wasn't answered and I have written two emails and a Dm on Instagram

I visited Libby?s today and, unfortunately, I don?t think I?ll be returning. I noticed the kitchen staff using their phones and vapes, yet not washing their hands before handling food, which was quite off-putting. Additionally, the dress code seemed quite casual and didn?t reflect the refined, country-style café atmosphere that Libby?s once had. It?s a shame, as it feels like the place has lost its former charm and sense of luxury.

Libby's has really gone downhill in the past few months, it's hard to overstate how grubby the restaurant looks now, everywhere you look the walls are marked and scuffed. The floors are filthy and the bathrooms are horrible. They need to close for a few days and just repaint everywhere Service is fairly poor a lot of people stood around. The food was fine nothing special at all and considering all of their competition in the area the worst thing you could be is average.

The food is nice but the service, accessibility and price aren't great. I understand that this is a small venue and most likely a listed building but overall the layout makes it hard to squeeze in when it's busy, with or without a buggy. The staff have no time for any sort of impairment, and I myself have witnessed some really patronising attitudes. It feels it's come a long way from the friendly little place it used to be and is now geared towards the incoming gentry.

Nice atmosphere busy cafe.
Not too keen on my meal ( personal choice) the mushroom soup was delicious.

Friendly staff but my coffee was barely warm, despite being the only person who had ordered a drink. (It was late afternoon so was quiet). Also, took a while for my drink to arrive.

Having not visited for a while, whilst in Marple I got brunch in Libby's Bread & Wine. There was a very short wait to be seated, but our arrival appeared to be an inconvenience to staff.
The drink order was taken very quickly, although the drinks took a very long time to arrive. After a long wait for a food order to be taken, I eventually asked a staff member, who was cleaning a near by table, if we could order food. Again this appeared to be a massive inconvenience to her, the order was taken in a very sulky manner a few minutes later. She then returned to the table asking what bread we wanted, the menu stated sourdough, I had to ask what the bread options were as this information wasn't forthcoming.
When the drinks eventually arrived the coffee wasn't hot and the tea pot had no lid, it became apparent this was unusual, as a teapot at another table did have a lid.
The food arrived quickly, a positive. The food was OK. The poached eggs varied from under cooked (snotty) to overcook (hard), there was no consistency. The sourdough toast was overcooked and too crispy. The flavours were nice, I'd rate the food 6 out of 10. Past visits had food rated at 10 out of 10.
Another thing noted was that the cafe looked tired and in need of some attention.
Trying to pay and leave was another point where the service level was below par, I waited by the till to pay, despite 2 people being very close by, no one engaged with me, so I walk over to the bar to pay, only to be asked to pay at the till. Reading other reviews the poor level of service is mentioned multiple times.
Sadly this will be my last visit to Libby's.

Not often I give a bad review but my short experience at Libby's was less than ideal. Popped in on a Sunday around 10.30 for a takeaway coffee and cake to find their usually well stocked cake counter fairly empty. No worries really as they still had what I wanted. However I then was left standing by the counter waiting to be served while various members of staff stood by the serving hatch. Cafe was about half full. Walked out in the end.

My partner and I came with the 50% for dinner reservation (which is great to do, it was super busy and a great atmosphere).
The food this time around seemed rushed and unseasoned. We didn?t eat the cauliflower as they were still hard. The crab rigatoni and the Cod didn?t taste of anything. But the seabass - amazing. Full of flavour.
It was a shame as we have been for breakfast and their Turkish eggs are something I?ve been dreaming about, I loved them! But tonight wasn?t great.
Fast and friendly service however ??

Whilst the food we had was lovely it wasn?t very warm after sitting on the counter for ages before staff delivered it to the tables.
Seems disorganised, needs someone to manage or oversee to improve service.
Also, staff should tie long hair back in my opinion

Excellent soup and bread for lunch.
15 minute wait from sitting down to having our order taken, then another 15 minutes before it came to the table. I saw food waiting on the counter for nearly ten minutes before it was taken to the customers, but the table next to us was cleaned twice. Tea brought long after the cake. It took well over an hour for soup and cake at lunch. In summary: very good food, unfocused service.

We have been to Libbys many times and always had a good night.
Tonight, it was almost empty and we were seated in an empty upstairs (no atmosphere). I asked for GF options on the menu and was offered 4 options on whole menu. 2 were olives and padron peppers. Not great when you're out for a "meal"
I was told options I ate 4 weeks ago were now not GF (same menu) Food was rushed, unseasoned and expensive for what we had. Really disappointed as I had recommended Libbys due to previous good experiences. Please re introduce an allergen menu.....surely it makes everyone's life easier. It's like Russian roulette otherwise for those of us with coeliac disease or other allergies.

Disappointed with the attention received from a worker, I am a client who frequently buys 2 coffees and 1 scone before my work, and it is the second time that she tells me that I cannot sit down because they are busy while I see free tables. Just because I'm one person. They would have to value customers more. I definitely won't be back

Came in today for lunch to be ignored whilst there was tables available. Asked to wait at the bar which we were happy to do. Meanwhile new customers were shown to tables that were available. No staff showing attention to customers. Left and went elsewhere

Very enjoyable lunch at Libbys, on way back to Manchester from
