This store is great. Friendly staff, tidy, good product availability, never too busy. I only ever go when I need something specific and I've never left without it. Will be my go to store for car parts till the car falls apart.

I purchased a pair of brake discs from this store a few weeks ago. Immediately after installing them, they began making an extremely loud, concerning noise.
Understanding that products can be defective, I returned to the store within their 28-day return window to explain the issue. I was very disappointed to be told that because I had used the discs, they could not accept the return or offer a refund.
My question to the management is this: How is a customer supposed to discover a problem with brake discs without installing them first? They are not a item you can test in the box.
This is a fundamental flaw in their return policy for car parts. It shows a complete lack of understanding for how their products work and a disregard for customer satisfaction. I cannot recommend this store for anything where the quality isn't apparent until installation.

After being rescued by an AA patrol due to a dead battery, (jump start), I was able to drive to the local Halfords.
Normally I'd fit a new battery myself, but since i didn't have the necessary tools with me, I had Halfords do the job.
I won't prerend fitting by Halfords was cheap, but the battery terminals proved to be troublesome insofar that they wouldn't tighten properly (type of connector unknown to me). Nevertheless, the Halfords technicians got the job done with technique & know-how. Thank you, Halfords technicians!

Very knowledgeable staff explained everything that was needed to repair my bike, along with a costing for each part.

Not great service online. Didn?t receive any updates via email as promised & when calling for updates they couldn?t give me information. Having said that the service in store was exceptional! My dash cam was fitted within the hour much quicker than quoted, the young blonde lady ( apologies I didn?t get name ) was amazing really pleasant, taking time to explain the process, talk me through functions and how to use. Couldn?t have been better. Thank you.

After spotting the derailleur I needed was in stock (according to there web site ) I went into shop there was 1 person serving so after a half hour wait I was told none in stock no apology instead he tried to sell me a more expensive one absolutely useless I have now ordered one of the internet at a cheaper price so by being fobed of by Halfords in the end it did me a favour

Some people are incredibly helpful, others actively want to help even if they aren't 100% sure. And then there's others who embody the complete opposite attitude, deciding not to properly help and acting superior when you ask them to explain their answers.
Also do not trust the tablets recommendations based on your reg plate, it will give you incorrect information.
