Booked my daughter?s 21st party here using the very fabulous and unique function room. From start to finish the staff was amazing and very accommodating ! We now have turned into pub regulars and absolutely love coming to The Duke of York .

I've been here so many times. It's great that they're dog friendly.
There are plenty of screens to watch sports on if you're into that.
No longer does food, but you can get a pizza.
Parking: You must enter your registration number in at the pub.

This pub is a quiet nicely decorated food serving pub. Staff are great and friendly. Food is amazingly nice. Placed in an easy to get to walking or driving area. Its basically a choice of a normal upper class pub (duke of york) or the drug den, where the people are grim and off their tits on god knows what (the bullshead).
Id definitely recommend the duke of york for a nice drink or meal. Grear service and lovely place. Also big outdoor serving area for summer time.
Different visit: new ownership I think. Loverly pub. Nice food. New owner( I think its him) seems a nice lad. Hes got plans for the place. Nice atmosphere, clean friendly environment.
Edit: great pub, just the prices for drinks are dearer than Manchester City centre prices. So staying here for a long time is expensive. Shame as staff are great, but drinks are twice the price of anywhere else in heyside.

Planned a surprise birthday party for my partner on Saturday.. couldn't have wished for anything better.

OK place but so expensive. Paid £10 for 2 lagers. Come on this isn't city centre Manchester. Will be reluctant to go again. Shame.

The Duke of York is a bland looking building on a busy main road and it would be easy to ignore it and drive past but that would be a mistake.The inside is modern, very clean and tidy, and very well decorated and comfortable.The beer is very well kept, and the member of staff who was serving was extremely pleasant and very welcoming. Her name was Holly, and she is a credit to herself and the pub.There is a good selection of drinks and a good selection of Crisps and snacks.There is food served,although I didn't have any otherwise my 4 star review may well have been 5.Don't drive past this drab looking building. Go in and enjoy the beer surroundings and the welcome from Holly.
