I have disabilities, and I wanted to make a suggestion about raising the payment terminals at the self-checkout area so that baskets can fit on top of the designated area FOR baskets. This could help people like me who has ongoing problems with my back, as well as the elderly and anybody else with disabilities, so they do not have to pick up their groceries from the floor.
I wanted to politely address this and make a suggestion. Before I could speak, she says aggressively, "You got a problem?"?when she spoke to me in this way, I fumbled, and she continued, "C'mon? Spill it out!". After I explained to her that it would be great to see payment terminals raised so that baskets can fit on the shelves, she curtly said that basket shelf was "not for baskets"?really?
I quickly found out this is not an isolated incident, as the same woman was extremely rude to my partner, aggressively telling her to "move out of the way" when there were errors on the self-checkout screen, and even said "you're not allowed to use your own bags", when my partner selected to use her own bags.
What kind of untrained staff do you have working at this store?
I am not accustomed to such hostility. I was brought up to be polite, understanding, and to treat people with respect, so it is a huge shock when some hostile customer service representative behaves this way.
Please properly train your staff, or simply, get rid of those that are not suited for the job.

Usual Lidl store, nothing much to say. Staff friendly enough, usually well stocked.

I never fort i would post on Lidl.
Second time this has happened to me. At the Till at self check out. Customer service was rubbish. 1/4STAR
I wanted to pay cash. None of the machines accepted cash fine.
My point is I don't work for Lidl, so I needed to ask the staff where I can find a barcode to scan the spring onion, your staff ( she ) miss head me and said it next to the machine?
I repeated my self, at that moment, her body language was RUDE Puffed, and I'm not have any of it.
I let her experience herself, and I said Spring Onion she said it on the machine in the Veg area! before I even saw where it was on the screen, she said that BUTTON THERE.
Come on, give me a chance to look for it.
I defo won't be going back to this branch. You can have her ( NAME CRISTY? )
After I spoke up to her, I was only asked for help. You don't need to be like that, and this is not the first time you have spoken to me like this.
Then she changed her attitude towards others and stood next to me and made me feel out of place.
She really deserves BAD employee of the year.
If Lidl spends some money on staff training or gets some mistry shopper in and gets a taste of her attitude, you will understand what I mean.
I feel sorry for elderly people, if they have to use self check out and have the same experience like today. I'm not suprice if Lidl will be closing down without the local support.
If it wasn't for the pasties, I won't bother coming in.
If you really don't like your job and can't provide customer service with a friendly smile and help. Then she should be fired.
