I really like the spirit of CEX ? the staff are always kind, helpful and full of good energy. Yesterday I queued for quite a long time with patience, only to find out the item I came for (a female-to-female HDMI adapter) was showing online but wasn?t actually in stock. That was a bit upsetting after the wait.
That said, the staff were lovely ? they explained things clearly and even suggested other places I could try, which I really appreciated. If it hadn?t been for the long queue and the stock issue, this would definitely have been a five-star visit.

Stood waiting none of the staff made any attempt to ask what I needed. One was helping someone which is fair but the other clearly saw me but disappeared to do something else so I just left the store. Commmunicate better if unable to assist or help your customers!

Very disappointing experience..my wife bought a new phone and was offered a price for her old phone. Once the old the phone was dropped off it was misplaced, temporarily lost although we were told that it was broken..I did wonder cynically whether their offer of money against a new phone for old is a ploy with no real intention of honouring the offer ..we waited 35 mins to collect the old phone whilst the staff checked we had actually dropped it off using cctv to see if we were scamming cex.. they eventually said we would have to come back if they found it.. they did find it, after we left, then told us that the phone was broken and was worthless. We now have to make an extra trip to pick up a broken phone. Dear Kunal, your store appears very disorganised and I'm sorry but it is badly managed and that is down to you, ..there are phones, cable, equipment all over the place..is there a manager, it is no wonder thing get easily misplaced and in our case broken. Poor customer service but one thinks that they are really that bothered. Can you please make sure that the phone is sent to our home address or can you make sure that the phone is available for collection as I do not want to waste my time coming back to the store only to be told we don't don't where it is again!

Avoid, the staff are awful. Bought a steering wheel and pedals for the Xbox, took home to find they'd not given me the power cable. Had to go back (it's not close by), they found the cable and plugged it in to show it worked as I didn't want another trip. Came home and they'd kept hold of the USB adapter! My husband went back a couple of hours later and they accused us of losing it, only to find it and not even apologise. I accept the first mistake as we all make them, but the issues the second time were infuriating, I imagine we would have been stuck buying an adapter if they hadn't found it so quickly. Avoid this branch.

Don?t bother coming here if you?ve checked online for stock. They never have anything that online says they do

Bought a game with two vouchers. One of them was faded but the assistant wouldn't look me up on the system to locate the voucher. So they wouldn't accept the voucher.
Had to contact customer services to get a new voucher the next day (not sure why they couldn't do this in the branch).

Excellent service from counter staff .
However they need more staff on the counter during busy periods l had a 15 min wait however 3 other customers left the shop without service.
I bought a refurbished Oppo A54 5g in excellent condition for less than 90 pounds and l am happy...definitely will return

They are very very very corny!, if there?s a rating lower than 1 is what I?ll give to them.
I got an iPhone 11 from the Salford store, battery had an issue, I took it back to them, they did their test, confirmed this was an issue yet refused refunding back to my payment method. The lady told me a refund can only be made as a voucher point (SHE LIED TO ME!, this is not what was said on their website). I didn?t realize this is false cos I hadn?t checked their website. I then chose to get an exchange instead and I was then told I will get a refund to my payment method if this one is faulty as well. On getting home, discovered the replaced phone does not charge properly and the camera freezes on usage, I had to travel the next day. Came back to the country 10 days after. Took the phone back and they told me they need to test it which they did and eventually when I came back I was told they didn?t discover any fault, and for the charging, they cleaned the port as it was caused by dirt. I asked about the camera bit and they said there nothing they can do as their system did not prompt that as a fault. I was lied to! I would have gotten my money back after the first purchase went wrong but I was lied to and coaxed to go for an exchange. LIARS!!!!. Definitely would be telling everyone that cares to know that they are corn artists!

Went to get my controller checked today, guy at till was super friendly and dealt with it quickly and easily providing me with all the relevant deets. I don?t usually leave reviews but the gaming stores I usually go to have very rude staff and I?ve had almost nothing but bad encounters every time I go, this was a complete contrast to my surprise, workers seemed chill and atmosphere was nice. Definitely recommend.

Staff are always so friendly and attentive at this branch. They really make this store stand out from all the others! They are also super funny & knowledgeable, and will take time to answer any questions you have to the best extent. Staff across all branches should be as ace as these guys!

Tried to sell some items via website, keeps coming up with error every time i try to put my details in, so called the cex number which tells you to submit a form or contact their facebook page which I haven't got. Googled the local store to me and there is no contact details. What an awful setup.
