One star for the barman who offered us free desserts because our burgers were inedible. He agreed when he saw them. The unsmiling waitress had brought them after a very long wait and they were like tough,grey cardboard and stone cold. The replacements came within 8 mins and were warm and much better. Won't be back.

Had dinner with friends. They were going to a show, and we couldn't get the staff on, attention to pay. My friends left & I got a staff member to get a bill & she couldn't take payment. I went to walk out & pay In the premier Inn. The staff took the payment then. She wasn't very friendly about the issues. I'd think twice about eating there on a Saturday night.

We used to love it here but the place has changed massively! Called in a couple of weeks ago and the two lads behind the bar were great.
We went in last night for food in the "restaurant" upstairs, I had booked a table online, got to the top of the stairs and waited five minutes before someone came to us, I didn't mind that what did annoy me was the three waitresses that walked past us and didn't even acknowledge we were there, I found it a little rude. When we did get seated I had to wipe food off the seat, the table was sticky, menus sticky. The toilets were a disgrace.
The food wasn't great, over cooked chicken and overpriced for what it was.
Service wasn't great, our waitress looked like she just didn't want to be there and wasn't very helpful.
We just didn't like the vibe of the place at all.
Went downstairs to get a drink, same waitress behind the bar, ordered and paid for drinks, they didn't have what I wanted (but they did upstairs) so I had a cheaper drink but had to mention a refund myself as we had already paid for a spirit they didn't have.
We won't be back. Such a shame it used to be a great place.

On Sunday 28th July I went with my family and the service and the food was delicious. Big portion, tasty and quick.
Today, Sunday 4th we came back and the waitress said that the chefs usually know what have gluten and what dont have it when I asked why is gravy and stuffing on the gluten free Sunday roast. It tooks 40mins until the food came and they had to make again the gluten free meal. Was 2 mini small pieces of meat on the Sunday roast when last week was 4 and very small portionin general. The chefs, specially the young one was eating, drinking, singing laud and dancing on the kitchen. I don't care if at least they know what are they doing and they make a nice food but you can notice the difference of staff from one week to another

Waitresses we're great couldn't do enough for us.
Food was lovely, personal wouldn't got the the tomato soup again, was too tangy for my liking.
If you get to sit upstairs ask for a window seat to see the lovly view of the lakes
