I recently had a very unpleasant experience with the manager at Argos in Sale, Annie. I attempted to return a steam cleaner that I paid £160 for, which was completely new but faulty?it wouldn?t turn on. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, Annie ignored me and refused to accept the return without any valid explanation.
Her behavior was extremely unprofessional, and her communication skills were lacking. She wasted my time and made me feel dismissed as a customer. When I went to the Argos in Altrincham later that day, they processed the return without any issues, which made it clear that the problem lies with Annie?s management style.
It?s disappointing that Argos would appoint someone so unsuitable for a managerial role. Customer service is crucial in retail, and Annie does not meet the basic standards expected. Argos should seriously reconsider who they place in these positions.

Lesson learnt from brilliant expertise of the staff that if an electric cord has short circuited then it must have caused fire and melted down the wire of trimmer which was within warranty and I was looking to exchange after confirmation from manufacturer.
Experience Matters ! Someone to assume that short circuit always melts the wire.

Tim the member of start was assaulted by a mr john Skye?s aka Shredz a TikTok Rapper all over an apple wire John had originally left a horrible feed bk which I had no idea he used my account to do so which I was notified of this morning. Shredz aka John has huge anger issues and took them out on this poor guy Tim at work whilst he was trying to help him with a product which was purchased in store.

There was only 2 serving and 8 to10 people queuing up. One of the girls With a K on her neck left the counter to help a woman who was having difficulty on the computers in there. Then she served her before all of us who had been waiting a long time. And one man walked out as he was disgusted as we were. I appreciate people have to be helped but she should have queued up like all of us. Everytime I go in there , there are long queues.

To be fair, she didn't have to do a great deal as far as my purchase was concerned, but the manager, Annie, was just so nice and courteous to all the customers. A real asset to the store.

purchased a fitbit watch here 5 days ago cannot see the watch display when outside in bright light were i need it for steps and time.Took it back to store today for a refund and was told thats not possible as I had opened the box? Contacted Argos customer service on chat was given a phone number for Fitbit in USA,After a long time was told that as I had bought it at Argos they could only give me a 50 percent discount as it was faulty. I will never shop there again as you dont seem to have consumer rights with them.

HORRIBLE experience with staff here. A relative bought incorrect items and I was landed with returning them which sounds simple. However the boxes were TAPED when I picked them up so they were ripped when opened as there was no other way to open them. When I was told to return them because they're not right the male assistant who dealt with me was horrible about it snarky and passive aggressive like I was trying to do something wrong returning them. At this point I hadn't even clicked to say why were they taped up when they were sold to me as BRAND NEW. I had to ask for the manager who took an extremely long time contacting the warehouse. I was left sat feeling absolutely horrible for ages and ages wondering if we would be stuck with these incorrect items. In the end she tried to pass it off as a 'goodwill' gesture that they would refund me and kept saying they normally wouldn't accept them as returns with the boxes ripped. The only reason they accepted them as returns is because they sold me RETURNS as brand new in the first place or they would have just said no and the boxes wouldn't have been taped up. I'm absolutely disgusted to have been treated this way. I left feeling so stressed and upset. I'd never shop at this store again this has been so unpleasant. And surely its against some kind of selling law to re sell returned goods as brand new. Dodgy place with horrible staff. No thanks.

The manager here Nat is very unprofessional, she was very insensitive to my autistic friend as he struggles to explain himself properly, I?m really unhappy about how rude she was to him and how she treated him. This is very unfair and she shouldn?t treat vulnerable people like this. He was very embarrassed and does not want to return to this store again, Nat is supposed to be the manager she should have some better training on how to deal with disabled customers and be kind to all.

I will not be using Argos in Sale, Manchester again.Received a text message telling me to collect my order.Arrived about 9.30 and there were no other customers.Gave the lady in her late 50?s with black hair and glasses my code, but she told me I needed an FT number and to come back when I have one.Went home only to notice I'd also received an email at 8:50 aswell as the text.Email said my order was ready to collect ?hooray - it?s here, don?t dilly dally.. It?s time to collect your item??Drove back and waited 40 minutes in the now very long queue.Served by the fella who tbh, has always been great when I?ve been there.Funny how he just went and found my item without an FT code.So, to the lady in her late 50?s with black hair and glasses, Thanks for wasting my time and diesel and for your terrible customer service.

Amazing customer service! Adam (Sainsburys Sale) went really out of his way to help me and let my children choose the watches they wanted. Wish all retail assistants were half as good as Adam.
