Food was around a 7/10. The carbonara lacked flavour, though the starters were excellent ? a solid 10/10. We ordered garlic bread, arancini balls, and calamari. The calamari could have been a little more tender, but overall the starters were very enjoyable. There was 4 of us and the bill came to £150, we did pre book.
The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful, which we really appreciated. The only downside was that we had to ask three or four times for water at our table.

We ate in all the restaurants in this group, Sorella & Pan Asia (Uppermill, Saddleworth), and Sorriso (Ashton) plus Mazzo?s a few times before they moved to the new premises.
We booked the private room upstairs for my wife?s 60th birthday. The service etc. was shocking. The head waiter?s attitude left a lot to be desired, we ordered drinks, beer, wine & cocktails. My stepdaughter?s cocktail was very bitter, so she asked politely if they could add some sugar or syrup to it. When it arrived back it was no better, after the other women in our party took a sip, it was agreed to ask for it to be replaced, he was not happy.
My son & his girlfriend ordered Chateaubriand to share, ordered it medium, and it came well done. At £85.00 you would expect better. When they pointed out they ordered it to be medium the same waiter took it away and said he would be 10 mins. 45 mins later a young lady arrived with the replacement steak & just plonked it on a spare table & left. We were all bewildered, it sat there for 5 minutes until somebody asked the waitress what was happening. She then said only one waiter could carve it & he was busy, a few mins later the head water arrived.
In addition to this my brother-in-law?s steak was not how he had ordered it but because he eats there a lot, he decided just to eat it.
I asked the waitress I'd like to speak a manager, she said I'll get him for you, nobody arrived. Clearly they're not bothered.
Our table was booked for 17.00, at 19.50 a waiter came over & said we need the table back, no problem I said we have all finished, bring me the Bill. At 20.20, another waiter arrived again asking us to vacate the table, when I pointed out we were still waiting for the Bill he shot off to produce it, £636.
From start to finish the service was shocking, clearly, they cannot cope & need to employ more qualified staff, or they are just getting too big, because they are opening more & more restaurants etc. in the Royton area. Restaurants are closing, yet these guys a bucking the trend???
From reading the other complaints I'm not expecting a reply.
We won't be eating in any of their restaurants, cafe's or staying in any of their HMO's.

3rd time eating here, came on 20th July.
Requested to be sat downstairs as prefer the atmosphere. This was granted! Staff friendly. Pizzas were yummy - can?t remember exact names but one was super cheesy and the truffle chips were spot on. Dessert was 10/10 - the best Biscoff cheesecake I think I have ever tasted. ?

Our first time at Mazzo and we will 100% be returning. The venue, atmosphere, drinks and waiting staff were all fantastic. The food was very fresh and recommended by the staff. Can?t wait for our next trip!

Absolutely amazing, I always try to look for new places to try when up visiting family in the area . Mazzo is so worth all the hype . I would recommend booking as it's an extremely popular and busy place and for good reasons. Booking online is a simple and easy process with options for floor specificatio,for people who may have trouble with stairs, etc . Everyone we dealt with was fantastic as we had to call twice to increase the reservation and was done so professionally. It's set over two large extensive floors and tastefully decorated, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The service as with the food was outstanding from start to finish ?. We had the cheesy garlic bread , bruschetta pomodoro, fungi caprino to start and carbonara (the best and hottest iv ever had ) tagliatelle ragu di cinghiale which was wild boar as well as pizza and tuffle fries ? ?. Desserts for those who could manage were classic tiramisu and cheesecake of the day . Now, the pinot blush was something else ? and in lush crisp glass, which is a mush for me . Now price wise, I couldn't believe the value standard Italian's price but outstanding food , wine, and service . Service charge was included on the bill and was made very clear to us when paying as we were trying to tip . I would happily drive the 3.5 hours to dine here again . Honestly, I can't find a fault it's been a while since iv left somewhere that had great food and great service in a wonderful setting. Fantastic work, guys. I hope to be back up again soon .

Our family birthday party was a complete success. The food was fabulous and the staff were courteous and friendly and served us with enthusiasm. Overall a really lovely experience. It was our first visit to Mazzo but we will certainly be visiting again. Thank you to everyone.

Amazing service, never had a problem here, atmosphere is amazing, prices may scare you but the food makes up for it, Just trust me on that one.
Waiters are well presented and always give a smile.

HEATHER AND DANNY EXCELLENT..THE RESTAURANT ABSOLUTELY PACKED OUT 6 45PM.
NI RESERVATION BUT HEATHER SORTED US OUT WITH A NICE TABLE.SERVUCE EXCELLENT..FOOD VERY GOOD.
WILL DEFINITELY RETURN.
