Pharmacist prescribed me antibiotics as doctors couldn't fit me in and saved me a 5hr wait at A&E. Jackie is always amazing and happy, regardless of what she has going on and the others busy away in the back are always happy to join in the banter. What a nice bunch of people

I currently use Well pharmacy on Edenfield road (next to the surgey).
They are always welcoming and informative. I attended today with a UTI, I had a consultation and issued a prescription in a timely manner.
The last time I was there, another customer was really rude and using inappropriate language towards the staff, the staff member was really professional and handled the situation impeccably well.
I really can't thank them enough for all their hard work and dedication, even in challenging times. They 100% deserve a reward for everything they do, would highly recommend this surgery, which isn't something I can say about my GP surgery next door.

I am absolutely sick of the attitudes of the people who work here.
Yesterday I visited the pharmacy at 12.15. I handed my prescription to the lady behind the desk and she said it was fine and it would be between 5 and 10 minutes so I popped next door to get some bits from the shop.
By 12.22 I was back in the pharmacy and I took a seat whilst I waited.
At this point, another staff member came out and asked if they could help and I said I was ok and just waiting for a prescription. She responded with ?can you make sure you come in a little bit earlier next time because we close at 12.30??
I said that I?d come in at 12.15, had already spoken to her colleague and had been told that it was fine and wouldn?t take more 10 minutes and even in that event I?d still be paid up and out of there for 12.25.
I do not appreciate being pulled up on my time keeping particularly in front of other customers and especially when I?ve come to the pharmacy with more than enough time to process my prescription.
You?re a shop, and I?m a paying customer. If I?d wandered in at 12.29 then by all means tell me there isn?t enough time for the request and that I need to come back, but as far as I?m concerned until 12.30 your job is to serve the people who keep your pharmacy open. You don?t work on an appointment basis and you don?t get to tell people what time they need to turn up.
I won?t be leaving this here, it?s one time too many I?ve been spoken to like this in that same branch and I always ignore it, but I?m not standing for it again. And please do not respond with ?it takes time to process a prescription?, I know that, I?ve picked them up before, but if one member of staff tells me 10 minutes is enough (and it usually is), then any other staff member who disagrees can take it up with them, not the customer.

I?ve been using this pharmacy for years and I honestly can?t remember the last time they had someone pleasant serving the customers, someone that actually smiles when they serve you and is genuinely happy to help you instead of making you feel like you are an inconvenience to them. I lost someone very dear to me recently and as the shop was empty I told Jackie what had happened and she took the time to ask me how I was which was so lovely of her to do. Every time I go in the shop Jackie smiles when she serves you and is always happy to help.

Well...I have been critical in the past of this Pharmacy...but have to say since I had my rant...they have improved massively...
A lot quicker than before, don't see the huge line of people anymore and staff are mostly friendly..Special mention to Jackie who's gone above and beyond in the past to help me out....Keep up the good work

Not the quickest pharmacy as many have said. Always lovely staff at the desk though. Jackie went above and beyond to make my daughter feel comfortable after a difficult visit to the doctors. Thankyou Jackie ?

It's not my usual pharmacy I called in recently to get my wife's prescription. It just after 12.00 noon, and eight people were in front of me in the queue to the counter, so I began to wonder how long my visit would be .Some of the customers were dropping off prescriptions whilst others were buying various items . After 10 minutes, wait, an elderly lady sat on a chair at the window side, raised her voice for the receptionist. "Is my prescription ready yet?" No, was the reply , the elderly lady said you told me 20 minutes, the receptionist said sorry the Pharmacist has gone on his lunch and won't be back for an hour ! With that, the elderly lady gave up and left the premises . It was 20 minutes before I eventually got to the front of the queue and was told the pharmacist was on his lunch and would be maybe 40 minutes before he returned from lunch, so I decided to leave and return mid afternoon when the prescription could be collected. I returned at around 3.30 p.m., fearing for another wait. I was pleasantly surprised to find only one person in front of me. However, when I was served, the receptionist checked her hand-held computer for all the details and looked for the prescription behind the counter only to find it was not ready and could I wait for 20 minutes for it to be made up . So I waited for the said time. Customers were coming in and around eight in the queue. By this time, my patience was beginning to run low, so I interjected before, yet another customer was served .The receptionist went around the counter to find out progress she returned and told me it would be ten minutes as it was just being dealt with . The pharmacist duly returned in the time specified only to say we haven't got all the tablets. Can you come back tomorrow for the remaining prescription. I returned the following day again it was very busy and took 20 minutes to be served with the remaining prescription.
On the positive side, i found the premises very clean well stocked with the usual items to be found in a business of this type. The receptionist was very polite and helpful and sympathetically dealing with all customers. From my observations, something needs to be done to improve the customer experience, like having a drop off for prescriptions without having to wait, then wait again for it to be made up. Maybe the receptionist needs help during peak times, and a further pharmacist is needed to deal with the workload . I won't be returning anytime soon, but I would like to see all the valued customers have a better experience than I have received.

I was told to contact this pharmacy by our doctors receptionist (Longford St. Heywood) as I may have had an infection. This was as a result of the new Pharmacy First government/NHS policy and pharmacists are allowed to prescribe antibiotics in certain circumstances. The pharmacist said I had to go back to the doctors as "he was not allowed to prescribe antibiotics" - he also said that there are SIX "common conditions" he can now treat under the policy when the gov.uk site clearly says there are SEVEN!! I know it is still early days for the policy, but surely they should be getting the basics correct!!

Been using this phamcy for years, over all been great. Can we please have a permenent pharmacist back as clearly having various covering ones is causing chaos. The staff who serve at front desk deserve a medal. I actually feel for them looks stressful...

Seemed disorganised when waiting for a prescription. Not much eye contact with it's customers. Alot of products to buy were no longer available.

Thank you today with help to order a prescription from my surgery urgently. Assistant advised me how to proceed and when I rung back after contacting surgery she said e Mail prescription had already come through and would be ready for collection. Many thanks. Greatly appreciated ?
