Our latest visit was certainly not up to expectations and bore little resemblance to my last visit when I gave 5 stars to everything! Possibly because the current owners are moving on to pastures new? The cheese and onion pie was a shadow of its former self, a fraction of the size served previously and quite dried up. The Eton mess was missing the mixed berries ( 4 pieces of fruit really doesn't count!) and was basically just a large blob of over whipped cream! Appalling for £7 and actually quite unpleasant as it was so sickly. Other meals were okay but portions have reduced and prices increased. Not the best way to keep customers returning. Staff seemed a bit harassed but were very pleasant and service was good.
Parking: Miniscule car park! About 4 car spaces! You can find street parking fairly easily, we tried our best to be aware of people living nearby and not be a nuisance.

Just had a three course senior's meal for £13 and it was excellent. Lots of prawns in the prawn cocktail, the best home made steak pudding I've ever had and scrumptious salted caramel profiteroles to follow. Well done David and your team ?

Went to The Gallows for tea about 6.30 on a Wednesday evening not realising they only served food till 7, however that wasn't a problem and they let me order at 6.40, I've got to say the food was absolutely delicious really enjoyed it as did my partner, I definitely recommend trying it and will definitely be returning, compliments to the chef, the staff were lovely too, thank you x

My favourite place to eat and relax. The food is superb. Everything is always 5*. I can't wait to go again. The slow cooked brisket just melted in your mouth and was so flavoursome. The keylime cheesecake is the best I've ever tasted. 5**** every time!!!
