A beautiful Norman church set in it's own well maintained gardens.
We were fortunate to visit on a quiet day and were treated to a mini tour by Glen, one of the extremely knowledgeable volunteers. We were fascinated to learn about the church's history and thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. Highly recommended!

St Leonard?s Church in Middleton is a beautiful historic site with stunning architecture and a deep connection to local history. The church?s unique wooden tower and ancient stained glass windows add character, while the peaceful atmosphere makes it a good place for quiet reflection. It is well maintained and welcoming, but visitor hours are limited, so plan ahead if you want to explore inside properly. The church?s significance in the community and its rich heritage make it worth a visit when in the area.

Hello, I've been watching a rerun of a brilliant police series on iPlayer called,Life on Mars. The show is very good in quite a few ways, time travel, the music is brilliant and the location's used. I knew the Church in the background of one show was a church I recognised in Middleton. After checking my Google Maps I found it was :St Leonard's, so I went to have a look.What a lovely little gem it is, built-in the mid 1100's I understand and a wooden church before this stone one. See the photos. I could not go in, it was all locked up. I'm hoping to go again soon and next time try and have a look inside. Special thanks to all who have looked after and loved this wonderful local place of worship.

The atmosphere of this church is an added bonus to the quality services offered to the local area. Quiet reflection, shared prayers there is so much more to say but why not call in and see for yourself.
