I recently visited Tops Buffet with my friends to celebrate our convocation, and it was a delightful experience. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes from different cuisines, all of which were fresh, flavourful, and well-prepared, with the desserts being a real highlight. The drinks were refreshing and served promptly, perfectly complementing the meal. What impressed us the most was the outstanding service from the floor staff ? they were welcoming from the moment we arrived, guided us politely to our table, and checked in regularly to ensure we were comfortable. Plates were cleared quickly without us having to ask, and they were always approachable with a smile whenever we needed assistance. Their attentiveness and professionalism created a warm atmosphere and made our celebration feel extra special. Overall, Tops Buffet not only offered great food and drinks but also a truly memorable dining experience. The lively atmosphere, spacious seating, and excellent hospitality made it the perfect choice for our celebration, and I would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for quality, variety, and exceptional service. Definitely a place worth revisiting for future occasions.

We recently celebrated my father's birthday at Tops Buffet in Manchester, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice for a family gathering. One of the standout features was the incredible variety of food available ? from Chinese, Indian, and Japanese cuisine, there was truly something for everyone. The live cooking stations, like the teppanyaki grill , were a real highlight and brought a fun, interactive element to the experience that made the evening feel even more special. Everything was well presented and regularly replenished, so the selection always felt fresh and appealing.
What really added to the experience was the excellent customer service. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, polite, and very welcoming. They made a real effort to ensure we were comfortable, especially considering we were a large group. Our table was prepared in advance, and they even accommodated a small birthday cake we brought along, helping us surprise my dad at the right moment. The servers were attentive without being intrusive, regularly clearing empty plates and checking in to see if we needed anything. Despite the restaurant being busy, the team stayed calm, friendly, and professional throughout.
The lively atmosphere, combined with the attentive service and impressive food options, made it a memorable evening for all of us. It was also great value for money, and we wouldn?t hesitate to return for another special occasion.

Akila is a wonderful customer service attendant with a knack for recommending the perfect drink when you?re unsure. His great sense of humor and warm, attractive smile make every interaction a delight. Looking forward to seeing more of Akula on our next visit!

Ok not mega amazing. One of the cheapest buffets around in town. Food lacked spices and flavour and majority of the starters are tiny with bones. Noodle dishes and curries lacked flavour same with the chicken. decor was nice but it was super hot in the room even with fans. Staff although in suits they have no customer service skills to match. Overall I wouldn't visit this establishment again. However it is good for children and families. I'd rather go to a restaurant next time set menu.
Security / queue man appears quite rude and aggressive in his tone of voice. Not good for first time visit

Tops buffet Manchester. Tops what? The worst buffets list? It looks nice inside, but the food was SHITE. £42 for 2 peeps, plus £3.90 for a coke. Must have had a tenners worth of food between us, most of it left to chuck in the bin. Really subpar swill. It wasn't even busy and nobody took the dirty plates. Food was left for ages on hot plates until it was mini pieces of concrete in a sauce.
Will never go again! Even Oliver Twist would have said, please sir, can I have less. 0/10
If you do want a very good buffet, go to Cosmos on Deansgate.

Food was really average and quite poor quality for what you?re paying for. Toilets were also extremely dirty! We were disgusted at the state of them!! Service was extremely poor and the waiters were demanding money for the drinks as we were mid-eating which was really rude, would?ve been better if they came over after food. We went as a family and couldn?t even speak to each other as the music was blasting. It was really hot, and they had no air con! Lots of kids shoving their hands into food in the desserts section! Surprised at how many good reviews this place has! Extremely disappointed and won?t be returning.

The food was very nice, although was lovely to see a robot waiter, all it did was carry plates. The one thing that dragged this place down is that once we ordered our drinks within a matter of seconds I had a waitress pushing a card machine in my face to pay with no receipt to show what I had ordered. It felt very pushy and I may have been charged wrongly. The layout could of been better as it felt like stuff was all over the place in terms of each cuisine. The toilets look like a disco with faulty lights nearly giving me epilepsy. Atmosphere was loud but you was able to talk to people across the table.

Absolutely amazing experience! The variety of dishes was impressive ? so many flavors from different cuisines, all in one place. The ambience was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. And the food? Just sooooo gooood! Every bite was a delight. Definitely a solid 5-star visit!

Went to TOPS Buffet in Manchester for a dinner date with my girlfriend and we had a great time. The food selection was massive, with everything from Chinese and Indian to sushi and live grill stations.
What really stood out was the amazing customer service?everyone was super friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. The bar service was also really smooth, drinks came quickly and the staff were lovely throughout.
Perfect spot for a relaxed date night with loads of food options and great hospitality. Would definitely go again!

I visited TOPS Buffet Manchester on Portland Street with colleagues from the office, and it was a comfortable, enjoyable experience. We found the seating relaxed and spacious for our group. The meal selection offered a wide variety?from live stations serving Chinese, Indian, sushi, and grills to an impressive dessert spread?that everyone appreciated. The desserts were a standout and satisfying. Staff were friendly and efficient, and service felt welcoming throughout.
Overall, our group had a great evening?we all agreed the food variety and comfy atmosphere made it a spot worth revisiting.
