Darlington Store - I have been collecting mystery sylvanian bags from the works and a lovely member of staff ( whose name I didn?t get annoyingly!- lady with blonde hair Saturday 24th May ) had noticed I?d been coming in often came and sat with me and had a chat and went through all of the ones I had and didn?t have and what I wanted we chatted for ages and I opened my one I bought with her and got the one I wanted! This totally made my day I wish I got her name but if you read this thank you so much! I?m sure we will cross paths again soon when I come in for more sylvanians lol!!

Visited yesterday and purchases the two items shown in the photograph.
Attitude of the lady serving was shocking, scissors were clearly marked £2 on the item as well all the others on the peg.
Should of been £7 and I got told £8, I asked which item was charged more.
Anyway the reply I got was ' I can't do anything about it and the price is what it is, sorry'
'they must be priced wrong', I'm sorry irrespective of the actual price they were all marked £2 and I was charged £3.
Anyway , I will no longer be using your store.

Ordered books for next day delivery , 10 days now and still no books, they use Evri and if id known this i wouldn?t have ordered from them

Very poor customer service, non attentive staff who will quite happily ignore you while you wait at the checkout, this is not a criticism of the Works but of the staff who were "working" there.

Some really good bargains as usual but the service was very poor. We visited a few weeks ago. Me and my wife stood for a good 4-5 minutes waiting to be served as two members of staff chatted away. A third member of staff who was obviously taking the brunt of the work had to tell the other two chatting that there were customers waiting. The lad that served us wasn't pleasant at all. Seemed irritated he had to cut his chitchat short. No manners at all. Served us and straight away went back to chatting with the other worker.
I feel sorry for the third woman having to pick up the slack of the other two.

Love going in here, always clean and the staff always know where to guide you to find what you're looking for. Always well stocked. It's always nice to see a smiling face ?

Was going to leave a good review as I love the works their prices for books are amazing however I just saw the previous review and that?s very disgusting of the staff to behave that way, always thought they were a bit ?off? but I only ever go in to collect online orders.But I will leave a bad review to stand in solidarity with the precious review where a man was racially profiled.
